The New Midi hotel in Geneva had small rooms, but this was expected for Europe. The bathrooms were clean, but the drainage was not great. The staff was friendly and allowed early check-in, providing (Read More)a bottle of water and candy. The hotel was in a great location, close to everything and with great views. The WiFi signal was weak, but overall, the hotel was nice with clean rooms and a pleasant stay. Safety was not an issue.

Poor

terrible wifi -- avoid this hotel if that's important to you

The location was pretty good, the lobby was nice, the bowls of good apples were nice, the free coffee maker was a plus, and the room was clean and comfortable although not large.

The wifi was really, shockingly poor. At best, it was weak and intermittent, e.g., dropping and reconnecting every 2 minutes (literally). It made it impossible to do any sustained browsing. I repeatedly requested to either have someone look at it or restart the router, and was told varying things: 'lots of people on it', 'the technician will come tomorrow', 'it's not stronger in another room, it's like this for all'. They gave me a password for a 2nd wifi signal but that one was worse. It did not improve throughout a 5 day stay. When I'm traveling, there is often only one thing that has to be decent, and it's the wifi -- it's too important for work and negotiating a new city, emailing and other bookings and arrangements. I think it's unacceptable for the hotel to advertise free wifi (or paid wifi even) and have it be this substandard. I simply would never have made this booking if I'd known.

Great location and staff really helpful and accommodating

Location was great close to station and old town and shops

Would have been good to have a bar in the hotel. Lighting in room was not great. Shower had water coming out of tap as well as the actual shower head.
