We had a really enjoyable experience at the Kings Head and we would definitely stay again.

Lovely

Friendly, comfortable, spacious

Sash window banging in the night due to wind, had to stuff it with toilet paper. Both bedrooms were very hot, tho no rads on except bathroom towel rad which was Very hot!

The room was lovely and clean, the shower was fantastic. The staff were friendly especially the lady taking our breakfast order. The breakfast was excellent and the location was great, not too far away from Winchester.

The room was really hot, we tried to turn the heating down but couldn't. The bar closed at 10:30pm which was perfect but the staff continued packing up talking loudly and singing for quite a bit after. There was a great selection of tea and coffee in the room but no milk.

Poor

I would avoid this over priced, untidy, neglected place and wouldnt recommend anyone to stay here.

Free car park Radiator worked Shampoo and shower gel smelt nice

The accommodation area looked run down. The stairs carpet was thread bare. The carpet in the landing had large bleach stains on it. The room itself had marks on the walls. The bathroom had mould on the ceiling, dirty grout between tiles and paint peeling off the ceiling. The window catch in the bedroom was missing. The blinds were damaged and looked untidy. Staff had to be asked for extra drink packets and toilet rolls. Went to make a drink in our room and the milk was set! We stayed 3 nights and the room was never cleaned, tidied or stocked up. There were even clothing labels still on a shelf that a previous guest had left there. Breakfast was edible but only allowed to chose one. ( couldnt have fruit, and a cooked breakfast) Wasnt asked by any staff if everything was ok. It was as if they avoided this because they knew standards were poor.

Great pub, dogs very welcome

Super dog friendly! We brought 2 dogs with us & they were allowed everywhere. Warm & cosy pub, good food, great breakfast selection, very accommodating staff. Would definitely stay again. Bust stop opposite to head into Winchester.

Our room was above the kitchen and very hot - which was lovely as it was cold outside but a bit too hot for the dogs & hard to gauge what to wear when venturing out.
