Nice room, great value

The room was very good. Everything on a good state, nice extras like coffee, tea and some biscuits, TV, bath. All in on an uneven floor that didn't bother us much and only added charm to it.

Waiting for staff at the reception when we arrived took a long time and involving chasing people around the pub. The lack of staff is in written in the hotel page, but maybe the system to call staff upstairs to the reception could improve and provide more visibility to the guests waiting on what is going on.

An okay stay

The location is great and it was one of the cheaper options when we booked. The staff were friendly.

We stayed two nights and the room was not made up in between except that the rubbish was taken out. Overall the cleanliness was lacking as well. We had old chewing gum stuck to the sheets and the bathroom floor was dirty. The window didnt close properly so we heard everything going on outside on the street below. As the hotel is also a pub that means that it was noisy (although to be fair the first night was New Years Eve and the second night was less noisy).

Very pleasant , good value and lovely staff..

Excellent value all round ........ The room was next to the High street so bit noisy at 7am but made us smile hearing the guys loading beer in and out of the bar ,while we tucked in a warm bed .Breakfast could n't have be better and the staff were great ...hard working without rushing around like loonies . It's long walk up the hill from the long stay car park but we knew that ,so took that on board before we booked... A good selection of clientele made for interesting watching ,met some nice people there .... would stay again if in the area without a second thought ........

The only down side was getting to the second floor room, lots of stairs but would make sure we got a room on the first floor next time .so no real problem .

Able to meet up with family in the restaurant and eat together without being crowded or rushed . good location for pantomime with even more family later at nearby theatre

noisy people leaving at closing time our room was right over exit door with predictable troubled revellers arguing at 1 am

Comfy stay at the Foley Arms Hotel.

Nice big room excellent bathroom comfy bed. Shower was very good with a powerful water jet. No noise disturbance. Complimentary biscuits tea and coffeee making facilities. Free Wifi. Cheap breakfast downstairs in the pub.

Room was a little cold and the small heater didn't seem up to the job. I had thick pyjamas so it wasn't that much of an issue, but otherwise I would have been too cold. TV a little too small for the room size. Minor quibbles really.

It was much nicer that I expected. Excellent location. Good Bathroom. Very eficient breakfast. On an early December wet weekend it was perfect, much less noise than anticipated. As a walking base and in December it was absolutely fine.

We did have some other inebriated guest trying to get into our room twice on the Saturdy night which was unpleasant. Other than that it was very quiet in terms of visitors but really I don't think I would want to stay there when the bar was functioning at high capacity or when people were on the outside decking. As it is the fan from tke kitchens, whilst obviously necessary, are quite intrusive.
