The Fisherbeck is a lovely hotel with perfect rooms, excellent amenities, and a beautiful view. Guests enjoyed the included breakfast with a great selection of hot and cold foods. The staff are frien (Read More)dly, the rooms are clean and spacious, and the location is ideal for walking into Ambleside town. Families found the hotel very child-friendly, with extremely comfortable beds and nothing to fault. Overall, guests had a fabulous stay and would 100% return.

Superb

Enjoyable weekend which exceeded expectations.

Location was great-5 minutes walk from centre of Ambleside. Fantastic view of the mountains from the room. Free upgrade for the wife's birthday-room was comfortable and spacious and included a balcony with seating. Breakfast was excellent and staff friendly and helpful.

Location is great but wouldnt stay again

The staff were friendly. Location is great.

Rooms were never cleaned properly. Bathroom was basically a one in one out closet. Few requests from the staff not fulfilled so gave up asking.

Pleasant

Location and being able to get around the lakes quite easy from the hotel.

No toilet door and no parking available. I get that some people are comfortable to not have a toilet door but Im not. I thought that paying a premium price would get that but clearly not.

Perfect stay from start to finish

The room was lovely, staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was massive and very comfortable, our room has a patio. Would be lovely with the right weather Location is good and only a short walk to shop, restaurants and bars. On site parking at 5 per stay. The breakfast was really nice, continental was self serve and everything else ordered from menu. I had eggs Benedict and my husband had the full english which we both enjoyed. Complimentary coffees from machine in the hotel throughout the stay. We had a machine in the room also- but I didnt use this. Looked like there was a little work being done in the outside seating area and will be lovely with nice weather! We visited in January so no worry for us! We will return for sure, really enjoyed our stay! Thank you

Disappointing

Would not recommend nor stay again.

Bed was way too soft, room was too hot even with the window open and the radiator turned off, tiny window and terrible lighting, breakfast was also poor. Not the hotel fault but there was incredible loud and violent sounding arguments all night from a nearby room, that really made sleep difficult.

Really good b&b couldn't of asked for more.

Looked our room we stayed in very comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent and staff was polite and welcoming. The location was perfect 10 minute walk from all the shops bars and restaurants.

I didn't find a fault with anything really enjoyed the stay.

Very nice comfortable hotel with great potential

The location was good but the breakfast was completely disorganised.I was waiting for acknowledgement and had to go chasing them for it .Anyone could have walked in off the street and they would have let them have breakfast
