Very good

New Years 2 night stay with our dog, very relaxing

Excellent food, great choice although a little on the pricey side, good value for money. Lovely bar and restaurant. Good accommodation although basic double room quite small but good sized bathroom. Very friendly efficient staff Very dog friendly - would recommend

Lovely country pub with comfortable rooms and good dining facilities

Breakfast was excellent rooms were quite small but very comfortable. Good sized bathroom with rainfall shower

Service at breakfast was slow. We were only provided with one set of towels in each double room.

Extra charge for dog but room was a room for pets? No extra cleaning. Also what the breakfast charge. If you have with room 13 and they say its a continental with full English. But you can walk in of the street and buy breakfast muffin for 7 but because I brought breakfast at check in they still wanted me to pay 13. I wasnt given the choice!!!! 2 people and was charged for 4 breakfasts. But overall was ok. And dog piece states there will be a comfy dog bed and bowls no there wasnt. Read carefully

Delicious dinner from a varied and well thought out menu Friendly & helpful staff. Clean, comfortable room. Whole stay excellent value. Would recommend and return.

Lighting a bit dim on the landing to access the rooms. (Note, these have to be accessed up an exterior stairway outside the pub). Bedding rather too hot even though heating turned off. Sliding shower head needs attention. A whole grilled tomato would have been nice with my breakfast muffin! But these are all minor for a really good value stay with properly prepared food so close to the M6.

Quitessential pub/accommodation in idyllic countryside

Gorgeous quintessential pub with a log fire. Cosy bar. Beautiful accommodation . The girls couldn't have been more helpful booking us in and checking us out, showing us to our room and serving our meal and drinks. Lovely stay even the weather delivered crisp frosty days completing the pre Christmas vibe.
