Didnt eat there, room was great, staff were excellent, a problem ( nobodys fault) sorted swiftly and professionally would stay again

Disappointed traveller

The staff were very attentive and actually gave the impression of enjoying their job. It was two days after Xmas and nothing was too much trouble for them. Comfy bed and lots of hot water. The food ,although basic ( and some of the menu wasn't available) was cooked well and piping hot. The bar prices however were very expensive. 35 for a half decent bottle of red wine..

The hotel itself looks unloved and tired. In our room, room 35, chipped paintwork and furniture, marked carpets in front of the coffee station, black mould on the window frame, stained curtains, no glasses in the bathroom. We were travelling with a well behaved dog and paid an extortionate 20 for the privilege. Sorry, but we won't be returning any time soon.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was very good. The room I had I had everything I needed for my stay. Overall experience was fair

The room and the shower could do with a revamp. Although clean, they are starting to show their age. also, I didn't get much sleep for the 2 nights because of the behaviour of other guests. It was sorted eventually with the arrival of the police on the second night

Location perfect as our son lives near

We have stayed here before but feel the rooms are expensive as breakfast is on top of the room rate, the bedrooms need a lick of paint and updating the bathroom they are so tried and there is always a humming noise in the bedrooms not sure what it is.

Staff very nice Clean no probs

All the floors creaked continuously every single time anyone walked on them outside the room or above. Very disturbed sleep woke at 5.30 when floor above woke me. I couldn't stay again
