Superb

Great, we will come back again.

The room is bigger then what we expected, the front desk staffs are very helpful.

The car park is not too closed to the room, and the fridge in the room is quite small.

Very good

I liked the comfortable bed. We were given a different room than the motel room we had booked.

Unfortunately the room did not offer the same facilities as the motel room we had booked, eg fridge, toaster so we had food that we had to throw out and change our plans and eat out more. The room we were given was at the front street Papanui street and it was very busy and noisy. Also the pool was closed for maintenance and we were given the option to use one down the road from a motel, 5 minutes on foot. Ask before you book.

We loved the room and style of the buildings. The pool was unfortunately not in working order. However, staff had organised for the use of another pool down the road. The kids were stoked! Overall, very comfortable room in a great location, with very helpful staff.

There was a fair amount of road noise.

Superb

Fabulous family stay in beautiful room.

Our family of four stayed here over Christmas and absolutely loved it. The family suite was fabulous. Beautifully fitted out, spacious and comfortable. The staff were absolutely delightful and went out their way to make Christmas really special. The whole place had a really nice friendly feel. We had breakfast each morning which was superb. Christmas lunch in the restaurant was also fabulous. Only negative was the pool was out of order which we were initially very disappointed about, but the weather turned out to be a bit cool for swimming so not a problem.

The rooms were lovely and the little extra touches were a lovely surprise, especially the umbrellas. The staff were very friendly.

We were not notified that the pool was out of order and that was the main reason we booked the rooms. The food in the restaurant was overpriced and not good at all. It was very disappointing.

Pleasant

Oozing with old English character but poor mattresses and breakfast

We had 2 bedroom suite which was great as we had space to spread out. The hotel and the suite itself oozed with character.

Our bed had some sort of mattress topper on it and it felt like we were lying in a big C shaped dish. I didnt sleep great because of the bed as it creaked my neck and so I ended up with a headache. Breakfast was included which was appreciated but poor quality and food was very dried out.
