Review 1: The Real Marina Hotel & Spa in Olhao is a favorite place with lovely staff and beautiful views. The pool area is nice and clean, and the inside pools and spa are professional. There are ple (Read More)nty of nice restaurants nearby, and the rooms are spacious with stunning Marina views. Highly recommended. Review 2: The staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful, although the hotel itself is not quite 5 stars. The room is lovely and cleaned daily, but the air conditioning doesn't work below 18 degrees. Upgrading to a sea view is worth the extra money, but there is no kettle for making tea. Breakfast is monotonous, and the spa facilities are not good. Review 3: The location is excellent, with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby, as well as a marina. There is no beach, but free parking is available. The hotel offers car hire and the staff are welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is adequate but repetitive, and some of the hotel facilities were not open. Overall, the Real Marina Hotel & Spa has lovely staff, great views, and a convenient location, but there are some issues with amenities and variety in breakfast options.

Pleasant

Excellent hotel but the menu and food was very poor

The hotel was very good but the menu and food was poor, the dining room was only open for Christmas eve Christmas day and Box Boxing day evening meals. The rest of the time we ate in the reception area from same menu every night and we had to wait 45 minutes between courses, not what I would expect from a 5 star or a four star hotel, it is the worst hotel I have ever stayed for food, at 85y old I have stayed in a number of top hotels

Great location comfortable beds and great breakfast staff love to have a chat

We stayed in the appts earlier in the year and had the opportunity to return to the hotel just the 2 of us it was perfect the staff our so friendly and helpful the breakfast is fabulous and location is just right we cant wait to return we didnt use pool as it was December and we didnt use spa because we only stayed 3 nights and we wanted to explore a little but real marina is a great base thank you

Definitely will stay again but room for improvement!

Fabulous sea views & location..Swimming pool became a bird pool in the mornings.. probably needs attention as it is not desirable to swim after so many birds have been there..

Pillows are a disaster.. along with the street noise very hard to get a good nights sleep

Great Hotel for an Olhao stay

Staff were great. Food was good. Location is great if you want to be in Olhao, not too far from train station if you want to take a train into Faro.

This is probably a seasonal thing but I wish there was some evening entertainment at the hotel. A singer or something at least but, they may have this during the summer, we in December so I don't know

The Hotel was very comfortable and had every thing we needed. The sea views were fantastic. The staff were genuinely friendly and made us welcome

A lovely stay

We loved the location, the suite, the nice bedding, the view from the balcony, the friendly staff, the pool, the breakfast, and the special treat that was delivered to our room for my birthday.

Our suite needs a few running repairs. Loo roll holder falling off. The lamp in the bedroom falling to bits. Grouting in the bathroom needs attention. Nothing serious but it makes things look a bit shabby. The pool also needs a spring clean to the windows and window sills and tiles that are missing need replacing. Its bizarre to insist on swim hats for hygiene reasons when theres bird poo round the window!
