Review 1: The location and grounds of La Posada are enjoyable, but the rooms can be hit or miss. The first room I was given had a fireplace that smelled like old ash and was in need of updates. Howev (Read More)er, after changing rooms, my experience improved. The staff, including the concierge and valets, were friendly and helpful. I look forward to returning after the room updates. Review 2: La Posada de Santa Fe is a magical hotel with a rich history and great location in Santa Fe. The staff provided excellent service, and the current rooms reflect the spirit and architecture of the city. The hotel will undergo updates soon, but the overall experience was unforgettable.

We had a GREAT breakfast. the Grounds were very nice. The location was walkable to downtown. Nice sense of history.

Our room was dated. The price for what we had as a room was not a great value.

It was awesome! Great hotel, beautiful grounds, great restaurant & bar and awesome staff.

Our first room (180) had a portable ac unit and when we turned it on, our allergies were horrible. When we told Lesley, at the front desk, she was SO apologetic, upgraded our room to the gorgeous suite (100) and gave us a free drink card for the bar. Lesleys service, friendliness and investment in your hotel are incredible. She is so proud to work at La Posada and it shows. Everyone we met who works there were wonderful.

Our first room (180) needs to have the ac cleaned out. While were in room 100, a wonderful guy came into work on the heat for another room. He set up a ladder, opened the ceiling access, and left to get tools. He didnt come back and we had to go to the front desk an hour later because our room got freezing cold with the access open for so long.

The location was perfect and valet parking worked like a charm.

I liked the charm of an older hotel but did not like that it was neglected. Partially painted wall in bathroom, dirty and dingy carpet, coffee maker on a low small table and I had to sit on my cooler to operate the coffee maker. For a room that I paid $350+ for I was surprised that breakfast was extra and not included. Staff was very nice but management is clearly lacking attention to details that I would expect in a 4-star hotel. I will be looking for a different hotel next time.

Immensely enjoyed our stay at La Posada De Santa Fe!

You will love staying at LA Posada De Santa Fe! The hotel is set up like a little village. Nice large sitting area with fireplace. Bedroom and bathroom area are large. Hotel offers shuttle that transports within a two mile radius that we used though downtown was a ten minutes or so walk. Convenient valet parking. Everyone a t LA Possada is very friendly!

Noticed little bugs on the room wall on arrival. They are tree bugs coming inside because of the cool weather. Front desk stated they do not bite and had Pest Control spray the outside and when we were out the hotel room. Only saw one or two afterward. Do not let this discourage you from staying here!

We were there during Indian Market so I realize your prices are somewhat inflated but most disappointing was the breakfast offering and the bar's snacks.

Great location

Electronic keys didnt work, dead bugs on the windowsills , broken coffee maker, access to pools and fitness center was restricted due to the snafu with the keys. Broken faucet and cracked grout on the windows let bugs in.

Location is easy walk into main town and attractions. The staff were sympathetic to our concerns about noise and moved us when they could but we had disturbed nights the first two nights there which made us feel we regretted having booked in the first place.

The delux room was in the main house (room 100) - no sound proofing and a) right above the bar and restaurant; b) looking out onto and disturbed by the noise of the bar and restaurant air conditioning, and c) looking out onto the area where the hotel runs events such as wedding dinners. The whole thing was a hugely expensive noisy experience - this room should not be a guest room.
