The hotel's location was convenient for exploring the Highlands, and guests appreciated the helpful and friendly staff. Not quite hitting the mark

Generous sized room with modern en-suite.

Decor in bedroom tired in contrast to a modern en-suite. On arrival and checking into room on the whole clean however waste bin hadnt been emptied. Minor point but wouldnt expect this in a 4 star hotel, attention to detail is a must. Spa/swimming pool area requires more regular cleaning. Female changing area dirty due to people wearing muddy outdoor shoes, again dirty poolside tiles due to patrons walking poolside in outdoor footwear. Perhaps there should be requirement for shoe covers/overshoes to be worn when entering and exiting changing areas. Husband experienced the same poor cleanliness level in the male changing area of the leisure club. All it would take to improve would be for leisure attends to do a quick check and mop round at regular intervals of the changing areas. Felt breakfast was expensive for what it was, we went to breakfast an hour before stopped serving and found many items not to have been replenished eg no fresh oj, no bread for toasting and hot buffet items lukewarm at best. Maybe go earlier and breakfast might be a different experience. Staff welcoming and decent location.

A nice little luxury

As usual the hotel is welcoming and clean and pleasant. It's a nice little luxury. Breakfast is fab.

The pool has been freezing for the last 2 days. It is not normally like this when we have stayed previously and the staff have not explained any problems.

Comfortable hotel with good facilities

Our room was comfortable and we enjoyed the pool. Good food. Great playground opposite.

Staff were friendly but service very slow at dinner. Its outside the city and a bit too far to walk.

Disappointing

Would not stay again.

I liked that there was a pool area.

The hotel is very loud, the beds wobbled and were uncomfortable, there was literal blood splatter in the bathroom and the prices for food and drink were astronomical. And the breakfast was subpar.

Clean. Fantastic, hot breakfast.

Stayed in a garden room which was difficult to find, especially in the dark and even by day as door numbers are only positioned near the door, in pale grey font, up the pathway and so unable to see room numbers upon approach. Easily visible signage would resolve, basics. Didnt like having to leave hotel to walk to room. No bath and shower only had large, fixed overhead shower head so you cant shower without full soaking and no shower cap provided. Wish I had stayed in main hotel as rooms are more comfortable and handy.
