An oasis of tranquility, but make sure you get the room you booked.

Gorgeous, traditional furnishings in a beautiful old building, with a lovely roof garden where you can dine or just chill. A great oasis of peace and calm just around the corner from the seedy chaos of Paharganj main bazaar. Friendly staff, good room service if you need it. Large, clean rooms with ensuite bathroom. Great internet when it's working. I've stayed here many times.

When we arrived at the hotel, the guy at the desk tried to convince us to take a room in the 'Pinky Villa', a hotel opposite, saying that this is what we'd booked as a budget room. If I wanted a room in Jhoti Mahal, I would have to pay an extra 1,000 rps per night and that they only took cash, no credit cards. I stood my ground, and we were eventually given a room in the hotel that we'd reserved one in. I then found out that the hotel had marked my booking as a 'no-show', and as I had to pay in cash, I was given no receipts. I can only assume this was so they could avoid paying any fees. They explained this was because I didn't take the room in the hotel opposite, and so they had to privately rebook me into the Jhoti Mahal. I see that they've since made this clearer on Booking.com by listing Pinky Villa as a separate entity.

Nice place and good decor. Big rooms, good area around, helpful and friendly staff.

only one minus but it's huge! There's a spring sticking out of the mattress, it's impossible to get a comfortable sleep

It was very scary getting to the Hotel but once we were there the Hotel was Good, not quite what we expected. The roof top Restaurant was very nice & the Breakfast was acceptable. Once we had settled in & understood the area we had a great time

The Area that the Hotel is in is very old & the area is very run down, only Tuk Tuks or very small vehicles can get to the Hotel. We have a 12 seater which had to stop a few KM away & then we had to transfer with our Luggage into Tuk Tuks to get to the Hotel

Superb

We would have loved to have extended our stay here. The place is amazing and we will happily come back. Highly recommend

The property is beautiful and really comfortable and in a fabulous location. The roof top gives you stunning views. The owner and his family were friendly and fab hosts, the welcome Chai on the roof was a lovely touch. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay, only comment would be to watch out for how hot the water can get in taps and shower when the boiler is on. Be careful.

Front desk staff not friendly and welcoming that hotel located in very dirty street.room was very dirty as well There bed is not comfortable not renovated facilities. Lastly i was accepting paying by card and in that digital world they dont accept

Could have been a better experience, if facilities are maintained properly.

The heritage look of the hotel.

The washroom was not functional. We requested another room, after which we were offered a regular room, not a suite which we had booked. So we declined and chose to stay in our room, but the lack of water flow was a terrible problem. Breakfast was below standard.

Nice to be in old part of Delhi, the roof restaurant was very pleasant but over cleanliness poor

The location being in the old part and the heritage style. The bedding was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was OK and the roof restaurant location was good.

The cleanliness was the main issue with bins and mops and buckets left in hall way. The bathroom facilities were poor with soap bottle broken and sticky to touch and dirty. Towels grey and stiff.
