Overall, guests enjoyed their stay at the ibis York Centre. While the hotel is a bit of a walk from the city center, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Wouldn't stay again

Not a lot very basic, staff friendly and property quite close to the city centre.

The bedroom was very basic, no pictures or decorations. The room overall is in need of a refurbishment, particularly the bathroom and carpets. Probably wouldn't stay again.

We went to York to refresh after a busy end to our year, but got so little sleep that we went home exhausted. Poor value

Breakfast was okay - though the scrambled eggs were awful. Location was good. Staff were excellent.

Bed was awful - like trying to sleep on concrete! One bath towel. No hand wash at the sink - tub empty. No shower gel in shower. Bathroom extractor not working. Shower pipe clip broken.

The walls are very thin. We could hear some travellers chatting and laughing at midnight, which is quite annoying when you have a young child

Good food, bad sleep.

Breakfast was good, dining area modern

Rooms were dated, bed was uncomfortable, TV oddly placed, very cold room no thermostat, and duvet was thin for mid winter. Carpets old and worn, rooms just in need for a fresh start.

Location is good, 15 minute walk to the shambles.

Whilst the parking is a great addition, the parking space itself is very small and very tight to navigate. The bathroom was appalling - mould and paint flaking off the ceiling and in desperate need of a renovation. The bathroom door did not shut properly either. Paper thin walls - you can hear people all day and night. The room doors are very hard to close and require a lot of heavy force to close. It seems that the catch was broken on the window of the room, unsure whether this was intentional or not.

Fab little get away, close to the city centre

The location worked well for us, we could walk into the city with our 3 year old. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good with a great choice of food.

Car park is tight but to be expected in a city hotel

Would Definitely Recommend.

Good location to train station & short walk to city centre. Excellent Breakfast Good value. very clean room. polite and helpful staff. the Hotel is very good value for money would be my first choice to stay next time.
