About Hotel Santa Chiara

The Hotel Santa Chiara is housed in a structure that has witnessed five centuries of Venetian history. What's left of a mediaeval monastery, notably a convent for the Orsoline nuns, is part of the main structure. All of the rooms are brand-new, decorated with solid wood parquet flooring from Venice, exposed beams in some places, and chandeliers made of Murano glass. The rooms have views of several areas of the city, including Piazzale Roma, the Papadopoli Gardens, and the Rio Nuovo side canal. The expansive terrace, which has a view of the Grand Canal, is a tranquil spot to unwind after a busy day exploring the buzzing city while sipping wine under the setting sun.

Good property with bad staff management even not ensuring that wifi is working or not

The location & rooms

Wifi wasnt working offcourse, spoiling plans for someone checking in on 31st Dec. It came back on 2nd Jan by the time when everyone was leaving venice after partying and dining! The reception guy is the worst part, very aloof and had an expression without any good approach even. The cleaning is awful. They dont do the bed even. It was food bits on the floor after cleaning!

Location is perfect for exploring Venice. Parking is excellent. Staff is friendly. Only breakfast does not give you value for money. Everything else was really as or above expected.

The only negative comment I have is that the bathroom had broken luck and I can barely flush the toilet lol

Great hotel in an extremely accessible location

The receptionist was absolutely great. He asked us as we were leaving one day what we had planned and if we had booked things. We said we had not yet booked. He then booked us the tours we wanted and saved our day from being stressful and disappointing as things were Solling out fast.

There was a miscommunication with the room Service as one of our Party members was staying longer in the room. The room was not cleaned and the next afternoon the room was also not cleaned even though we all left together around 10 or 11.

Sufficient.

Location of hotel there are carpark,train ,taxi and bus stations just near the hotel and Venice is one bridge only to reach. Well designed comfortable rooms.

Noisy and crowded area around the hotel for Venice. Breakfast style there are two types with service, I prefer minimal buffet breakfast instead.

Superb

In the suite room, the sitting area and bedroom are separated with plenty of space; the bathroom was especially spacious. Check-in and check-out was very quick. The hotel was very close to the vaporettos.

Walking from the train station is a bit difficult if you have luggage. The bathtub in the room is very high and can be a bit dangerous to get out.

An amazing stay, with the best staff!

The staff were amazing. extermely helpful, courteous.. it truly made our stay exceptional. Location was in a quieter location so we appreciated being away from the madness of Venice. A little pricely, but I think that's just Venice. I would stay there again 100%!
