Hotel Cidade de Olh�o is a hidden gem in Old Town Olhao. The staff is super helpful and accommodating, while the rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable. The pool area is nice and there are enough s (Read More)unbeds. The hotel also provides clean towels for the pool and sun umbrellas for the beach. The atmosphere is chill and the location is great. The breakfast is nice and the staff is informative and friendly. However, one reviewer had a negative experience, feeling like they were being watched at all times.

loively will come again

The room/appartment was good however duvet too thick, needed a summer duvet. They did give us a couple of blankets instead.

we had a problem with the expelaire from the room below making too much noise but the staff did sort and were going to put that to managemnet. Also would have been nice in december if pool slightly heated. Solar pannels may work.

without the smell it would have been perfect

Kind staff, new furniture, clean rooms, friendly lobby, great location, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need, both the living room as well as the sleeping room have a TV (I stayed in a studio). The staff was very helpful with getting around in the area (giving recommendations, printing the time table for the trains etc.)

There was a very strong moldy smell in the room all the time! As I arrived and noticed it I opened the windows for 2 hours and as it didn't get better I told the women at the reception about it. She said it came from the AC and that house keeping team would take care of it the next day. So I had to sleep in the smelly room. Next day it got only a little bit better. As I was outside all day I tried to just ignore it when I came back to sleep. The third day I realized that all my cloths as well as my backpack, suitcase etc. had taken on the smell. I talked to the staff again and they promised to make the houskeepers to take care of it. I mentioned the smell in all my things and they offered to do laundry for 3 shirts and one pants. I have no idea why they made this random decision to clean some but not all of my cloths. This second time the housekeeping did a better job and 70% of the smell was gone afterwards. It was on my last afternoon though so most of my stay was impacted in a negative way by it. After I left I went to a laundry service where I would clean and dry all my cloths which obviously cost me extra money and time that I would have wanted to spend otherwise during my vacation. It's a real pity as everything else was truly great but I just couldn't enjoy my stay with the moldy smell in my nose!

Friendly, professional boutique style hotel

Small and friendly, staff were so nice, delicious breakfast especially scrambled eggs, lovely decor, quiet, very nice pool and lounging areas. Bus services just around the corner. Train station was also close by. The Hotel provided a parasol that you could take to the beach. That was a lovely idea.

There was only one chair in the bedroom.

Friendly staff, great location, clean rooms with a balcony, delicious breakfast.

We loved the VERY friendly staff, the pool- I swam every day, even in November, the light, white clean rooms with a balcony! The breakfast was delicious and the location was great. A 5-10 minute walk to the coast and restaurants.

Great little hotel

The hotel was very good for 3 star. Close to train station. Clean. Friendly informative staff. Lovely fresh breakfast options. Lovely breakfast area, which doubled a bar and place to seat while waiting for taxis. Very good for the price

Very good

It was up to expectation. Can't complain.

OK, but not very roomy. No coffee or tea in the room! Clean yes. TV station OK. Pool did not use it, but looked OK. Over all, very good and the staff was friendly and helpful.

For the price and location I did not dislike anything at all.
