Hillthwaite Hotel impressed guests with excellent service, views of Windermere, and attention to detail, especially with vegetarian requests. The afternoon tea was wonderful, and the staff, including (Read More) Lorretta, were friendly and helpful. Rooms were beautifully designed and comfortable, with powerful showers. The pool, sauna, and conservatory were enjoyable amenities. The restaurant served divine food. Overall, guests highly recommend the hotel for its location, decor, and hospitality.

Superb

Great stay, comfortable with a warm welcome

Really clean, well decorated and comfortable. Nicely decorated for Christmas. All staff I encountered were friendly, professional and courteous. Excellent customer service. Great log fire in the lounge for a festive feel. Would definitely stay again

Beautifully presented in a beautiful location. Warm, comfortable, and immaculately clean. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel and would certainly stay again.

Superb

Extremely warm and welcoming, staff were amazing. Lovely use of pool and sauna (getting it to yourself as opposed to sharing) the hotel is decorated fabulous too and was lovely to be there for over Christmas period

No comment to make - only would love for it to be slightly cheaper prices in the bar and for the stay so could come more often!!! :)

Not worth the hike!

The staff were amazing and really friendly

It's was too hot. The pool was dirty as it had plasters floating in it. The room was full of dog hairs even though it was supposed to be a room without dogs, so my allergies were horrendous all night. We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but left after 1.

Wonderful hotel and would recommend to anyone especially couples looking for a little getaway.

Staff very friendly, Room was really nice along with the bathroom. Nice little walk away from Windemere centre and loads of leaflets at the front desk for ideas of stuff to do in the local area.

Only annoying thing was that due to the windows being open we had a few fly's flying at the window struggling to get out so the buzzing was pretty annoying.

Disappointing

The location, facilities and ambience

The staff on duty during the night was rude and threatened us that he would make us leave our room if we didnt keep our volume down. It was my partners birthday and they kept coming up to us to tell us to keep it down when we werent even playing any music. Didnt know that chatting with my partner would also be noise for our neighbors and would never stay at this hotel again.
