Initially skeptical due to the building's appearance, but the staff were welcoming and showed clean, well air-conditioned rooms. The service and cleanliness were praised, despite the basic facilities (Read More). The location required a Tuk Tuk back to the city center due to its uphill location. The area was quiet with a limited selection of restaurants and not much for kids. The breakfast was enjoyable and the hotel offered a great view of the city and lake. There were some cleanliness issues with the sheets. Overall, a comfortable stay with friendly staff and convenient location near the Temple of Tooth.

Disaster

The description of the room on the booking is completely inaccurate. The triple room has neither a balcony nor a lake view. The room smells of dampness, the plaster is coming off, there are rags and bags stuffed behind the ceiling, which prevent access to the mice that can be heard in the ceiling. The door barely closes, it was very noisy outside even in the evening.

Everything was comfortable. Very clean and simple. No fuss! The staff are so friendly and accommodating. Amazing breakfast with a beautiful view! Breakfast on top floor. Comfy beds! A tea station with tea and coffee was a luxury for me! Lovely balcony. Fan & A/C in room. Lots of monkeys outside. Overall a lovely place to stay and I would recommend.

Room wasn't cleaned in the 4 days I stayed but I am sure if I asked them they would have cleaned it. I had to ask for clean sheets, towels and toilet paper. Steep hill up to hotel. Best to get a tuk tuk. Steep steps up to hotel. Not recommended for people who have difficulty with steps. No elevator inside. Breakfast is great but yoghurts or cereal might be a good addition. Breakfast is optional. I chose eggs & toast. No small light. I asked for a bedside light but it had an electrical fault and it sparked so discontinued use. Shower wasn't that hot.

Great place to stay in Kandy

Very nice place to stay in Kandy. Short walking distance to the lake and town. The room was nice, not too big but had everything you need. The staff is super nice, helpful and friendly. The breakfast is very delicious and the view from the restaurant is awesome. Would recommend staying here!

Dont expect too much for the price. The room might appear a bit dark as the windows are facing to the backside. Other rooms are very nice with good views. The WiFi is not working very reliable.

Nice atmosphere at the hotel. The owner, very friendly, gave us very good tips to go on with our trip . Quality-price relation is unwinneable!! And also a nice breakfast at the roof terrace
