Superb

Great option if you want to stay in the Kandy Hills

Amazing view from the main hotel. It has a beautiful elevated location that looks down over the river, we saw fireflies as we were eating dinner . The hotel is decorated and furnished in a lovely rustic fashion, with mosquito nets around the bed. The staff were very lovely and accommodating, and dropped us back by Tuk Tuk to the main road as our driver couldn't make it up the steep hill in his car. A few minor gripes but all in all a really good option if you want to be outside of the hustle and bustle of Kandy. There is a very small pool and beautiful garden and Terrace where you can eat.

The view from our balcony wasn't great, (we were in a separate building behind the hotel that housed a few additional rooms. We also had dogs barking in the area throughout the night (not the dog owned by the hotel). We also felt that some of the prices of food/drink were a bit inflated for the area. Breakfast was fine, but was the least generous of the 6 places we stayed in during our 2 weeks visit to Sri Lanka. At the end of the day we stayed one night so nothing major.

The location was stunning. The staff were kind and attentive. The food was delicious. Villa Rosa is a beautiful hotel offering a tranquil escape from the noise of Kandy centre. I would highly recommend staying here.

I would highly recommend this place you won't be disappointed

This was a real hidden gem, the journey up to it was extremely steep and a little unnerving , but when we got there it was beautiful, lovely clean comfortable room with beautiful views, a wonderful infinity pool and delicious food. The staff were perfect not too much, like some places we have been to

Perfect place to relax - we hope to return!

Beautiful location with a wonderful view over Kandy and the surrounding area. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Good options for food, including Sri Lanka and western (although we only had the Sri Lankan, which was good). Pool was great! Free tuks down to Kandy which was helpful. Perfect place to spend a few days relaxing near Kandy.

Very little to critique! The rooms on the other side of the valley to Kandy didnt have as good a view, and at night the outside noise was quite loud - which isnt their fault necessarily! Also the fan in the room was extremely loud. Very minor things.

Absolutely Perfect!

What's not to like? This place is a perfect oasis! We arrived in Kandy after a long drive from Dambulla (3 hours). We were greeted with a welcome juice and told that our room was upgraded. Wow! We were given the most beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the countryside and the river. It was breathtaking. We settled in and enjoyed the infinity pool, and had dinner. They offer a fabulous dinner meal (Western or Sri Lankan). We stayed two nights and could have stayed longer. If you need to go into town, they will call transport for you since the hotel is on top of a windy hill overlooking the valley. We had the staff organize a day trip for us to the tea plantation and the Kandy Spice Walk. Highly recommend both. This is the place to stay while in Kandy - will not disappoint.

Great views, design of hotel and surrounding garden and pool area very appealing to the eye.

Very nice views of the river and hills beyond. Door from room opened out on to a wide veranda with relaxing seating. Bathroom was spacious, attractive and well appointed. Room could have used a small fridge. Sri Lankan food served in restaurant was excellent!

Access to property is difficult due to steep, narrow roads which our car was not able to negotiate. We had to travel the last kilometer by transferring to a tuk-tuk. However, hotel staff were very helpful in managing this for us.

Enjoyed our 2 night stay the villa is not far from the centre and the views are amazing.

Breakfast was amazing so was the dinner. The villa all in all could have been a little more cleaner. Air con was not working, fan worked very slowly.

Glorious views, lovely infinity pool and wonderful service in this special hotel

Villa Rosa was a wonderful place to stay in Kandy. The rooms were large with great bathrooms. The food and service were absolutely faultless but the real bonus is the incredible swimming pool and the best view in town!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, nice homely property and very welcoming.

Set on the hillside overlooking the river. View was stunning! Room was large & comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and the chef demonstrated the cooking of some Sri Lankan dishes that we then ate for dinner.

Had to run the water in the shower for a long time before hot water came through.
