Nicely renovated but more needed.

I asked for a quiet room away from the elevator and my request was met. New bathroom was attractive. Beds were very comfortable. Location was central to city and many eateries which allowed us to do everything we wanted to.

Many aspects of this hotel have been recently renovated but some very old, chipped paintwork and the odd cracked tile in the elevator area is evident which is distasteful. A non slip mat was provided for the shower/bath combo but when showering it covered the plug which meant the water couldn't drain away and you end up standing in the water. The kettle needs to be relocated otherwise the new cabinetry will quickly deteriorate due to steam damage. For us, the Nespresso pods were not a pleasant taste, but perhaps that's a matter of personal preference. Coffee mugs would definitely be a good addition.

The location is handy, close to shops, restaurants, tram and bars are only a short walk away. The room was clean and plenty of amenities were available.

There was a practice fire alarm - which was absolutely fine, but the issue was with the poor girl who spoke over the intercom! This came across as unprofessional and budget. She should have had time to practice or at the very least something to read from. Nor someone standing close by telling her what to say. Totally not her fault, this was a lack of planning at management level.

Amazing apart from the valet parking.

It was nice, the staff where friendly and quite welcoming

I booked for Valet parking only to get to the hotel and be told our Ute couldnt go into valet parking so we had to sort out our own parking. It would be nice if the staff were quite clear about what cars can and cant go into valet parking.
