A great overnight stopover on the edge of Lyndhurst.

A character property managed by a welcoming and helpful hosts. The bedroom was well furnished, clean and lots of tea, coffee, biscuits, etc. Easy access as its next to the A337 and ideal access to the New Forest.

Its located on the A337 which is busy at peak times and can be noisy.

Great location and hosts

This was a present for my Mums 70th birthday and we were all really impressed with Clayhill House. Lovely hosts: Chris was friendly, knowledgable and really helpful. His wife made fantastic breakfasts (including a tasty vegan breakfast for myself and my boyfriend) Thank you!

Beautifully kept rooms in a old property looking out into the New Forest

friendly helpful proprietors, very comfortable spacious room. Loved the views over the garden and forest and the happy chickens making the breakfast eggs. Good breakfast, beautifully presented with their own eggs, preserves and sausages from their own rarebreed pig (kept off site!). A short walk to the pub for evening meal. Can walk out from the pub in to the forest to go in either direction to Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst

A car is helpful as the bus service to Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst is infrequent and the pavements on the very busy A337 are not nice to walk on. Good to be in a rear room as the A337 traffic can be noisy.
