Exceptional

Extremely nice rooms

Extremely modern and clean rooms, the hotel has recently been renovated to a high standard of finish. The hotel is located next to the A1. Due to extremely efficient triple glazing, I couldn't hear a peep. The hotel restaurant serves delicious, home cooked meals at reasonable prices.

The decor was really nice and the bathroom amazing. Breakfast was nice

Single beds were very squeaky even when slightly moving and the pillows need replacing.

Exceptional

Excellent out of the way of the hustle and bustle yet close enough to the city

Room was clean and comfortable. I slept really well and then enjoyed fabulous poached eggs and smoked salmon for breakfast

The coffee (cafetire at breakfast) and the latte after a meal were not very nice.

Superb

I'm an expat Geordie and visit the north east a number of times a year to visit family and friends. I have stayed at a number of hotels over the years Beamish Hall, Ravensworth Arms, and have found the Bowes Incline to give the ideal balance between comfort, hospitality, and value for money.

Some of the rooms are earmarked for refurbishment but really overall they are still more than acceptable.
