The noise ! There were several functions on the night I stayed and loud music till midnight.

Very very disappointing

The breakfast was good. The staff were helpful.

I work away from home spending about 30 days a year in hotels. I normally use Premier Inns, boring but always clean, good WiFi (essential for my job), pleasant staff etc. I thought I would try something different. My pattern is to visit a location, get to the hotel mid afternoon write the required report. I therefore need reasonable WiFi and not excessive noise. Very early evening the band, playing at that night's function, began to practise. After awhile I gave up trying to work and asked if I could move rooms. The staff were most helpful and found me an alternative room. I moved all my stuff up to another floor and settled into the new room. After a short while I realised that there was a tremendous ongoing noise. This continued through the night waking me up in the early hours. I found that I had been put in a room near the huge vent for the kitchen extraction system. Not only was the noise level completely unacceptable but the fat laden hot air fell sharply as it left the vent. The room smelt of fried food. I shall not be experimenting with Best Western Hotels again!

Room was warm..staff generally friendly, exception maybe the breakfast staff, which were soure faced mostly.

Breakfast...I'm vegetarian, not vegan..option was vegan with no vegetarian...so no eggs etc...no idea why, also quality was onva power with wetherspoons...bread cheap. Coffee was meant to be bottomless, but you have to ask for it..then wait ages for it to come...rubbish , but I guess they use or give less this way..Needs an overhaul.
