The location in the bottom of jungles, food quality is good and the staff are friendly and helpful. The room size is perfect

The way to the lodge is difficult and narrow, but the views are worth visiting. If they can provide kettle and coffee in the room, that would be awesome.

Disappointing

Dont call yourself eco resort for lacking inand charge far to high price for it

Location is a hillside jungle resort - great nature experience with water flowing noise in the background and an unbelievable nature noise in the night.

No walkways, uneven stairs and bad lighting at night. Nothing for walking disabled or elderly. No signboards. Very non standard electrical wiring and installations (taped wires close to pool etc). Molded bathroom equipment. Naphtalin moth powder smell everywhere - not healthy and not ecological. Internet barely existing, mobile phone reach limited (not that same is non acceptable for an eco resort if you choose to select it- but it is not highlighted upfront). Very friendly staff, but very shy and not fully educated or understanding English.Food selection traditional,but limited. Buffet ran out of food and plates several times. Couldnt get the room we booked (villa with pool) on the first night as under repair and had to shift room again the second day. All understood, but reduced the stay to a lot of discussion. Manager promised to compensate but couldnt keep the promise. At the end we ended up with an over promised underdelivered and unreasonable priced experience. A lot of room for improvement

Natural wonder being immersed in nature!

The Arsulana Lodge was far beyond our expectations. The staff were so friendly and by the end of our visit felt like family. The views from our villa were incredible - We had not visited Sri Lanka before and being immersed in the jungle, surrounded by nature was just what we were after. There were further natural wonders to explore near the villa which we traveled to by tuc tuc. We feel blessed having visited such a natural wonder and 100% intend to visit again.

Your luxury break

The place is gorgeous!! Big rooms furnished with great taste, fully immersed in nature. Super comfy bed with clean sheets, big and clean bathroom, awesome hot shower. The owner was so kind to upgrade me to an even better room for the first two nights because there was availability. He was always there to assist me, arranged the transfer to Adam's peak and also an AMAZING massage. Breakfast is average but dinner is really good, there must be a proper chef in the kitchen! If you want to relax, just come here (and do not try to get out until the end of your stay because it's a nightmare: don't come here if you want to move around)

You are in the jungle, to reach the property you have to travel 40 minutes on a wasted road. Since you cannot do otherwise, it seems a little bit like a robbery to ask 3000 rupees for the pickup from and to the outside world. From a luxury place like this one you would expect to being able to both pay with credit card and have your laundry done. But it is not so, a really pity!
