Overall, the Aloft Portland Downtown Waterfront ME offers a decently priced and modern stay. While some guests experienced delays during check-in and found the lack of closing doors and bathroom fans (Read More) unusual, the hotel's cleanliness and excellent valet service made up for it. One guest particularly enjoyed the comfortable beds and the helpful bartender at the WXYZ bar, who provided recommendations for things to do and served great cocktails.

The size of room

The front desk tried to put me in a room with an alley view I booked a king room with water view Went back to front desk and they tried to say that Booking.com messed up Funny I have an email confirmation stating king with water view I got a double queen with water view Not what I booked But what can you do

Wont be staying again.

Full size mirror in room

Sheets were not cleaned, called front desk and they said cleaning signed off on it so it should be clean but clearly found a stain and childrens toys under the sheets, front desk said no one available to clean sheets. Walls were paper thin, no door on bathroom for shower.

Great location, clean, needs some soundproofing within.

Location was great, very clean new space. Staff was friendly.

Bathrooms are like an echo chamber without any vent or fan noise to cover any of your bodily sounds making it less than romantic. Toilet flushes super loud I could hear anytime the guests above me used the bathroom too.
