We've stayed here before a few years back and really liked it. It's a B&B style hotel with decent sized comfortable rooms. Rooms have a fridge and a safe. The breakfast is more than adequate for a morning of walking around the most beautiful city in the world. People running it are lovely. It's a great area to stay. It's up in the north of Castello, easy to reach and find from the airport Alilaguna, and a nice base for exploring the quieter areas of Castello near San Francisco Della Vigna.Turn the other way and you're right on top of Zanipolo and then over the bridge towards the Miracoli. Some great bars and restaurants nearby too. Great value for money.

The main bed was a little soft for me (it's a good memory foam mattress). However, there was a harder single bed in the room too, and the owners happily made this up for me, so I had a comfortable stay - just noting for info for people like me who need a harder bed.

amazing stay

There are kettle and tea,cups,body soap,normal soap. I'm satisfied with breakfast. Very good location. Outlets are each sides of beds. Clean,friendly staff,good location. More than price.

Hair dryer is bit weak. Door in bathroom is broken. Showerroom is small. But still I'd like to stay here again.

Perfect for the money

The staff were very helpful. A very short walk from the water bus stop, so pushing suitcase was easy.

The water buses stopped running at 20.00. The website said they ran until midnight. Getting back to alloggi barbari became expensive after our meal at st marks Square. The room is a little dated.

Very good

Lovely clean hotel, friendly staff and nice breakfasts too.

Perfect location as was a short walk to all the sights. Great supermarket at the end of the lane (Lagoon end) to pick up any essentials. Close to many good restaurants too. The host was so friendly and seemed to be fluent in every guests own language.

The only downside was that we left the window open one evening and were visited by a host of mosquitoes. We should have plugged in the repellent though, so our own fault.

The location was quite good, just a couple of blocks from the vaporetto that takes you to the airport and the train station, and 15 minutes walking from San Marco. The staff was great and the breakfast, delicious! Our room was extra spacious, clean and tidy. We loved it and I'm sure we will be back!

Delightful accomodation

If you want to stay in Venice during your trip and you're on a budget, Alloggi Barbaria is definitely an option to consider. It's pretty close to Fondamente Nove station and not in a crowded area. The bright sign above the door is visible as soon as you enter the street. The minibar prices were affordable.

Spotless and great location, nice breakfast with a large selection of rolls, jam, butter, cheese spread plus croissants and lots of cakes and cereal bars.

Basic but thats not a bad thing imo-u go there to shower and sleep!

Like it a lot.

15 min walking to the San Marks square. Vaporetto to the airport is nearby. The host was super friendly, check us in earlier and find a place for our baggage after check out. They provide breakfast for all customers. The room cleaning is daily. Soap, shampoo, towels are there.
