Irene Country Lodge, Autograph Collection offers excellent service and world-class accommodation. The conference facilities are top-notch and there is a peaceful atmosphere with open spaces and a lak (Read More)e. The staff is friendly and the surroundings are beautiful, with pathways and a farm-like feel. The only complaint is the staff entering the room unexpectedly. Overall, it is a must-visit destination with great views and amenities, conveniently located between Johannesburg and Pretoria.

We went to celebrate our anniversary, on request, the housekeeping staff when out of their way to make the room romantic

Housekeeping staff is lovely, location is stunning, rooms are lovely.

Restaurant is trying too hard to be fancy. Food is overpriced for the quality, staff and kitchen are slow. Residents used to have access to the pool at the spa, but the gate was locked so we couldnt use the amenities or access the spa.

The rooms were very spacious, with beautiful views. Breakfast was probably the highlight of our meals during our stay.

There was a bat in one of the rooms the day we were checking out. It was reported and someone took note and called the relevant unit to take care of it.

Location

Untidy rubbish left in bins in hallway. Did not get the room we booked. Lodge has definitely lost is lustre and needs to be properly maintained

The room was exactly like the photos. I wish I had booked a room with a lake view. Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Absolutely enjoyed my stay.

The rooms were nice, we had fun, despite the food letdown

We loved the picnic, and the spa area where we got to spend the rest of our day. The farm breakfast restaurant was fair better than the main hotel.

The buffet food was super dry, the fish was the worst dish. The waiter should try the food or at-least have the knowledge of the menu, it was just very disappointing. It such a beautiful place you would think the meal will match :(.

The restaurant is amazing. Dinner has a wide variety a la carte menu and a buffet. We had a seafood platter and chicken & prawn curry, both were well prepared, good portion size, and very tasty! The breakfast buffet offers a good selection for all tastes. The fresh croissants are a winner!

I didn't like that I have paid 2495 for Christmas lunch and not told that it was excluding the drinks and after eating I was presented with the bill of 1760 including the drinks, I told them that I have paid 2495 already for Christmas lunch and they continued to charge us 460 for the drinks on top of 2495, which means i have paid around 3000 for 4 adults and 2 kids instead of 1760. I felt like I was robbed around 1000.
