Superb

I found the hotel to be clean and comfortable overall and the staff friendly and pleasant. Actually I was inspired to write this review because a found a lot of negative reviews on this website didn't reflect my experience. I was pleasantly surprised.

The hotel was a little difficult to find and a little out of the way. While the downtown area of Manchester is only a short walk away, you do have to cross several busy intersections. You can also tell that the hotel needs to be renovated, but then the price wouldn't be as low.

Just out of Manchester so bot to busy but a 2 minute walk to the train station so perfect for getting around. Had their pizzas and they were really good. Some great pubs around.

Location was great as we went for Peter Kay at the AO arena so it was just one station hop on the train that was a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Unfortunately they don't have a bar in site but we had a pizza from the hotel then nipped out to the local bars. It had its own car park which is a big must for us and it the carpark was secure

Room spacious and clean.

King suite advertised with a bath and shower, but there was no bath. Cold water was lukewarm. Room was warm.

The hotel is so dirty, hairs everywhere, dirty sheet. I had to sleep with full cloth on.

Passable

The staff charged me twice for the Manchester visitors tax, once as part of the room price and again as part of the parking charge. I asked for a VAT receipt at checkout and was told that it had to be issued by booking.com, booking.com tells me that it has to be issued by the hotel.
