Good value for money

Great and very kind owner, good value for money. Close to the airport with free airport pick up and also right next to the train station to Colombo, so its very convenient if you plan a train trip in Sri Lanka ;)

The room would need some repainting to get rid of the moulded stains. The passing trains can be very noisy, it may be uncomfortable for people with a light sleep.

Hi, For a budget stay it was excellent. The location is a winner here. Its 5 minutes from the airport and they arrange free pick up drop off. I was departing early so I had an overnight stay the previous day, which took out a lot of that last minute travel stress. If you have a late arrival and if you're on a budget I can recommend for a night stay, then start fresh in the morning. From their place its a short walk or 100 rupees [rs] tuk tuk to the bus stop, [they will advise] A bus to Colombo is 300rs . Onward connections you can get from the central bus station where it drops you off, but ask around as some busses depart a street over. For example I came up from Hikkaduwa for 380rs [ pay for an extra seat if you have a surfboard ] the cost in UK pounds is around 2 total [ ie 1 = 400rs] A taxi can be around 30 to 40 from the airport to Hikkaduwa. 2 to 3 hours. I think there are cheaper oprions with online taxi booking, but you need to check that. Its not the Ritz but it more than makes up for it in location and friendly helpful staff. Can recommend. Neil

Good place for 1 night near the airport

Friendly and obliging hosts. Clean room. Fine for one night near the airport. Get a pick me to the airport and it will cost less than 400 lkr (1)

They offer a airport transfer service that is about 10x the cost of a simple pick me tuktuk. Download pickme app, it works like a treat. I got a ride in seconds and it was about 6am!

Simple home stay.

The owner is very good person. They sre providing free airport accomodation...I supposed to arrive 0125 and My flight arrives 0230 hrs only.. After emigration and all I come out around. 0300 Am. But when I come to the room only I come to know that. My wallet is lost in emmigration while filling the form..I told him the situation. Even though I wait so long at airport he is ready to come again to the airport and he again waited for me another 2 hours. Finaly we reach hotel only early morning 0530.Really I appreciate for his Patience...

Room facilities, there is no water heater in the bathroom. And also no bucket or mug in the bathroom...and break fast also very simple like sting hopper snd dall curry, sambol, and bananan only with black coffee... And they are charging 800 lkr for break fast.

The only thing I could like is that they offer transfer to the airport. And Im sure the owners are trying (giving the low rate), but this can hardly be called accommodation.

I dont want to offend anyone, but it was dirty, with a lot of insects, mold on the walls, loud (train station right across, planes taking off and landing nearby, a group of men singing on the top of their lungs until midnight). Definitely, I could not recommend it.

Easy place to stay near airport

Very close to airport and run by a lovely family who provide airport drop offs (even at 5am!!) only downside was the mosquitos but got a room with ac (great value) and just killed all the mozzies before going to bed and didnt get bitten. Bed was very firm but fine for a short stay.

Ok for 1 night. Close to the airport 3 km.

Free pickup/free drop up isn't free. It's s bit misleading. It cost and it should say so in booking. I paid 1500 rupees equivalent to 5 usd.

Superb English speaking host and I'm not kidding. I'm from England and his English was clearer than mine Clean,tidy and inexpensive. Great location for the airport and either him or one of the sons will drop you there. Great value for money

Only me to blame but I had no GPS arriving from Mirissa that night and the bust dropped me at least 2 blocks short of this place. I walked there in rainy conditions and it seemed to take forever. I was covered in mosquito bites come morning,which was either a result from my walk or his tropical like entrance? This wouldn't stop me staying there again,what a lovely family
