Mia and Chris in the restaurant were amazing, front desk staff were friendly and tried to take care of every need. Hotel was clean and comfortable.

There were signs indicating vending machines, but the machines weren't there. Christmas Day there was only service for six hours, and only a specific menu. In that area, there were very few places open for food options, but still lots of people at the hotel.

Beach Front - Pet Friendly Happiness.

Pet friendly, beach front, friendly staff, nice onsite restaurant, close to shops, restaurants, night life.

For the price we paid, I'd expect nicer linens (sheets, blankets, towels) and a perhaps a little microwave.

Lovely Birthday Surprise!

Went on a short surprise trip to Folly Beach for my boyfriends birthday. I sent in a request asking the staff if they would add something to room to make him feel special on his birthday. We arrived to champagne on ice with a lovely note wishing him happy birthday! He was absolutely enthralled! I am very impressed with how kind and courteous the staff was! We will definitely be returning to Tides!

The staff was extremely helpful and very nice.

Was disappointed in the room. Had a horrible ceiling patch that was still actively leaking. Picture was on the floor when I walked in the room and it definitely could have been cleaned a Lil better.

Fun at the beach

Ocean front rooms. Really nice waking up to sun rising over the water. Restaurant was decent thought a bit expensive. We were there in off season weekend after Thanksgiving and rate per room was $113/night plus fees and taxes. Trip into Charleston is about 20 minute. Note, due to erosion, difficult to walk either north or south along the beach from the hotel. For an awesome beach walk go south to the county park ($5.00 for parking) and go south along the beach around to the inlet side of Folly Beach and back.

Needs some maintenance and upkeep, e.g. the caulking around the shower spigot and tub had large gap that water was getting into which could cause problems with mold.
