A lovely relaxing break in a beautiful setting

Lovely setting, friendly staff. Great on site restaurant and leisure facilities. The apartment was spacious and the kitchen and bathroom areas were spotless. The grounds were also lovely too but due to poor weather we did not get chance to do much exploring. The pool was lovely.

The check in was a bit slow and the path to the apartment was a bit uneven and slippery but there were handrails to use so was not a big issue.

Lovely location, away from city/road noise. Did not miss home cos the accomodation was very homely

Was not aware that I needed to pay a refundable security deposit of 100 prior to arrival even though I already paid fully for the accommodation in advance.

A home away from home.

Upon arrival to the huge car park, we found the staff bubbly at the reception and the bar/restaurant looked inviting! The room was immaculately clean, very spacious with a fully equipped kitchen and a 5 star bed.

Its neat and clean. Toiletries were provided. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Swimming pool opening and closing time might be bit more extended would be nicer.

Cant navigate the resort at night. Pitch black bad signage. The spa is only open 9-6 - no use to anyone who works.

Stylish and spacious

Really cool to stay inside an estate home like this with period style decoration. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable.

We moved the sofa a little bit and noticed it was very dirty underneath. The kettle we had in our room was mouldy but it was quickly replaced by a new one. However, someone entered our apartment without permission to leave the new kettle.

Thurnham Hall is always a beautiful place to be - even in the rain!

Thurnham Hall is my favourite place to be, no question about it. I know the hall inside out and its got an amazing history - plus, the beautiful little church just down the road is a great place to have a lovely walk down to and visit. Location is good; its perfectly placed in the countryside but its not too far out of reach for shops, restaurants, etc. Lots of sweet little country pubs dotted around Thurnham as well (mostly dog-friendly!).

Its so difficult to book a two-bedroom apartment; Im disabled - as is my mother - and we come here frequently so its extremely difficult for us (plus her partner) as 2/3 of us physically require a bed and the sofa beds are pretty appalling. This is the biggest problem we have with staying at Thurnham Hall and - very sadly for me - its resulted in us making fewer bookings with Thurnham. I wish theyd be more inclusive in that sense.
