A very modern well run high end hotel - luxe experience at a reasonable price

The standard room we booked is so spacious , the bed is most comfortable we had the best sleep, the bathroom layout is perfect we used the big bath every night . We included breakfast in our stay and The traditional Japanese breakfast set was a top quality feast - exquisite and a must try. Hotel Location is perfect right by the Kyoto Station if you are coming by JR Shinkansen and lots of eating amd shopping options just right at door step. Must go to the Yogodashi 5-storey Shopping Centre right across the road .

Disappointing stay.

The hotel is very close to the Kyoto Station which is very convenient. The gym is very well equipped. The room is clean .

The room was rather small for the price, staff were not as helpful as in the other hotels we stayed in, in Japan. Very dated that sauna is for men only. The breakfast was also not as good as other hotels although still good in contrast to UK hotels.I felt that had I paid less I would have been happier with the experience, comparatively not 5 stars.

Prime location

The lid of the toilet bowl is too sensitive: auto flushing occurs once the body moves from sitting to standing position and the lid opens whenever one is approaching it. The toilet papers is too thin. The tap that controls the type of water jet( showers vs rain bath)cannot be turned easily if covered with foam but can be better if in the shape of an electric fan .

Gorgeous hotel, right by Kyoto Station

The location was great, across the street from Kyoto Station yet away from the commuter traffic. The entry hall was beautiful and we were lucky enough to stay when they put their Christmas tree up. Loved the amenities in the room and huge spacious bathroom, plus anything else needed you could order from an ipad and a robot would bring it up (water, coffee pods etc). Our favourite hotel of a 3 week stay in Japan, it was pricier than some, but you get what you pay for and I think it was well worth it. Staff lovely as expected.
