Good

Very short stay, but enjoyable. A much longer stay, particularly in summer might be less enjoyable.

location, 10 mins walk to the center. The room was clean and shower was ok. Parking is available if you arrive in good time.

The property is on the main road, with continuous traffic, which could be heard the whole time. Although the noise was not so intrusive that it made TV watching unenjoyable, or stopped us from sleeping after a couple glasses of wine. As it was winter we kept the windows closed all the time. I asked about rooms at the back, but was told they were fully booked.

Very good

A warm, comfortable and convenient place to stay.

The guest house is in a good location, about 15 minutes walk from the city centre on a frequent bus route. It is quiet, well insulated from traffic noise. The rooms are comfortable and welcoming. They are as shown on the website.

The radiator in my room at the top of the house did not appear to work but the rest of the building was warm and the heat rose to my room. It would however have been good to feel the direct heat of the radiator.

I guess its value for money and its clean and great beds and linen so overall we rested well.

Beds and linen and pillows are all very good and comfortable. The room is clean and shower works well. Kettle and coffee are provided and the layout of beds is good. The room was warm even though it was winter and we didnt turn on the heating and we all slept well.

Theres no hot water in hand basin. The building looks run down and there was some renovations going on and it was rather dusty.

Wonderful inn; warm and welcoming hosts; conveniently located an easy walk from the center of Oxford

We only selected "room" and so opted out of the "breakfast" (though it looked amazing!) The room was ready, comfortable, and discreetly maintained throughout our stay.

Poor

A false economy.

Location is right on a very busy main road. It is super noisy - even in the small hours of the night. You have to open the window to ventilate the room so the noise cant be kept out. The rooms are dirty - pull the bed out and youll see they dont clean the rooms properly. The beds are cheap and uncomfortable. Its also a 20 minute walk into Oxford along a really busy and noisy road.

Clean, friendly and well placed.

Really clean and fresh. Fantastic location and friendly staff

Bed pillows were too large and solid as concrete. As so many pillows were provided, perhaps 2 different types could be given.

great stay in Oxford

Great place to stay in Oxford. Room and bathroom were squeaky clean, beds were comfortable. Our room was right next to reception, but it was very quiet. Breakfast is continental, simple but delicious - if it's not included in your rate, you need to book it in advance. Staff was very helpful and late arrival and self-check-in - easy. Communication with the property was great. It's outside the old town, but fairly close - we walked everywhere. We'd happily stay at Sportsview Guesthouse again.
