The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia is conveniently located near restaurants, bars, and retail stores. The rooms have been upgraded and are spacious and comfortable. There are plenty of sports bars in the (Read More) area for entertainment. The hotel itself is stunning, with a beautiful lobby and friendly staff. Guests enjoyed delicious meals at the hotel restaurant and strong drinks at the bar. The location is perfect for exploring the city and using an Amex Platinum card offers additional perks. The experience was pleasant, with a complimentary room upgrade and festive Christmas decorations.

We had 24 hours of a great getaway with family from California!

It was very clean and exceptionally beautiful and decorated wonderfully for the holidays.

Didnt have a room ready until 445 although Booking shows a 3pm check in but staff was nice.

Location and staff

Too expensive and our room was not ready at checkin. Second time this has happened at a Ritz this trip and wont stay at one again because of it.

My arrival, night stay was excellent. Check out on 3/18 just wrong.

Everything about the hotel was excellent.

On 3/18/23 in the morning when we were checking out. The young lady at the front desk; in front of her peers treated me as if I did not pay for my room upon check in. I also advised that the hotel had given us a room credit to use. We opted for a wonderful breakfast. She told me I was lucky I told her that and proceeded to make me feel like I was doing something wrong. The gentleman behind the desk with her checked the computer and advised that I already paid. I am not sure what she thought of me. But I can assure you, we had no issues paying and she needs to be trained. We were both minorities; I am sure some unconscious bias lives inside her and it needs to be checked. I will be calling the hotel to talk about this experience and being made to feel less than.

all the rooms on each floor 09 have the lift column INSIDE THE ROOM and the transition is VERY ANNOYING unacceptable for a hotel of this standard

facility was lovely, staff was courteous and helpful, seemed to like their jobs- unusual for todays hotel staff.

towels were scratchy and light, seems like their sharing supplies and laundry with Marriott facilities across the board. usually bedding and toweling is finer in hotels in this price range.

Luxury in the heart of a vibrant city

Building is lovely and we were very impressed with the friendliness of staff. Beds were wonderful. Valet parking went very smoothly.

The ice machine on our floor (20th) did not work and we tried to call housekeeping for some ice - had problem getting the phone to work, but finally got an operator who said she would send some ice. We waited approximately 45 minutes with no ice arrival - finally called to cancel the request and operator seemed surprised that it had not been delivered.
