Very good

Enjoyed our stay but didnt feel we got the best value for money.

Lovely location. Nice comfortable room. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Stayed in walled garden rooms. Walls very thin so we where kept awake until 3.30am as our neighbours where having some fun next door. Dinner, drinks and breakfast all very expensive. Random ring style cameras dotted around in the main building which i personally think ruins the ambience.

Perfect location with a great restaurant

Perfect location just off the road yet quiet and secluded. We stayed in a hidden garden room which was cosy, warm and clean. The on-site restaurant was a bonus and the meals where great. We were warmly welcomed and felt very comfortable. We would have stay there again.

Great stay

Very nice secluded location in scottish countryside. Deluxe King room was really nice with huge bathroom and really nice bath and shower. We didn't have breakfast or dinner at the location so can't comment on that but we had a really nice stay at the hotel.

Location was lovely. Outdoor terrace was welcomed on a sunny afternoon.

Bit bijou in terms of dining experience, odd corralling of guests pre dinner into a small drawing room that didnt really suit number of people vs. chairs. Odd to pre-order food beforehand, would have much preferred to be seated at table. Struggled with menu, thought it wasnt anything special or something worth the price charged - presentation of starter and dessert was far from expected , especially with a chip in one of the bowls.

I would love to go back some day. I felt specially pampered

The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. We had a problem with our rented car and they were very helpful in assisting us to deal with the problem. Breakfast in the orangerie and dinner were lovely and all the staff were specially friendly. Also before and after dinner drinks in the sitting room made us feel right at home.

Rip off Scotland on a beautiful part of the world

this hotel is punching above its weight. charged us 90 for soup and salad ( velout) no prices on the dinner menu of 3 meat choices no fish or veg option. obsessed with satisfying American guests at the expense of local visitors .

Beautiful location , stunning building, strange interior design in the bedrooms in the new section

The main building was very attractive - our room was not. The bathroom had no shelf in the shower or hooks to hang towels. It appeared to be IKEA furniture with no charm. The employees were very helpful. The breakfast had sour dough bread that seemed to come out of a package. There was no garnish - tomatoes or mushrooms etc that came with the poached eggs and bacon/avocado dish.
