Our stay was fantastic.

The location was amazing. We were steps away from a museum, the botanic gardens, and a well rated restaurant. The staff was friendly and very helpful and provided great suggestions. The bed was like a cloud. The decor was gorgeous, as was the historical architecture.

The room could use a little more light and was smaller than average.

Truly a world-class experience -staff are absolutely outstanding in their care, kindness, knowledge

I travel a lot for work and I stay in a lot of different hotels and apartments all around the world. The Observatory Hotel is by far the best hotel, the best team of staff and the best experience I have ever had in 15 plus years travelling globally for my career. Of course it goes without saying that the hotel is beautiful and the exterior and interior decoration are both outstanding, but what takes the hotel to the next level are the people - the atmosphere that the staff have created is exceptional and it makes you feel instantly welcome and cared for as soon as you step through the door. It is the staff that boost the experience and enhance it to being a world class experience.

Overall this hotel is quaint and very charming. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel building is very old but was revamped to include modern facilities. It is of an extremely high standard. The hotel is very centrally located close to restaurants and walking distance from the city.

The car park is a bit of a walk from the hotel and all open. So if its raining you're likely to get wet moving luggage from the car to the hotel. There is no direct access to the rooms from the lobby and there are stairs to climb from the lobby to get to the elevators. You will have to carry your luggage up a few stairs.
