Good location perfectly functional but lacks character

Location is great for a stop over once arriving from the airport. It is on its own with little in the immediate vicinity. However lots a short cab ride away. It is right on the sea front with a lovely pool. It is very Sri Lanka style.

Considering other accommodation available it was expensive.

The view.

The service was bad. The place was run by a few boys. It's an old run down place. Dirty sheets. Smelly toilet. Not as as advertised on booking.com

The beautiful view (probably one of the best) and the very friendly staff

The shared facilities: the bar on the first floor was used as storage for old mattresses On the second floor, before entering the suite, on the wall, an old leak has not been repaired with very large mark and stains of humidity that smells and does not give a good look and good repair. The water tank must be on the roof just above the Suite room and every time somebody uses it, there is a very large noise going on The breakfast service was quite sketchy, burnt bread, coffee and juice coming after the dishes. It would be nice to have small tables outside for breakfast inside of being inside on this very large table.

Superb

Warm hospitality. A lovely house for a group!

We spent 4 days here, 6 people with 4 rooms booked. We were lucky that the 5th room wasnt book so we had the entire place and facilities like the pool, dining area, multiple living areas to ourselves. Water bottle and towel is provided upon request. The rooms are all of different size and layout. The food menu available is limited. Aasiri and Hashan took great care of us and attended to all our requests with promptness and always so kind and humble with a genuine smile. There was an older gentlemen who seemed like the head caretaker of the house, sorry I missed asking for the name. Thank you for the warm hospitality to the entire team. The proximity of the place to the rest of Negombo and Colombo is a challenge. Going to Colombo is tiresome as its long journey (1hr if no traffic). But we chose this place specifically to attend a wedding that was at a very nearby venue. Its a great house for a group to stay whether its a big family or a group of friends.

There was a minor issuethe shower area door gets jammed to the floor halfway so you have to awkwardly squeeze yourself sideways to get into the shower area.

Beautiful

What a beautiful place! I can confidently say that The Lighthouse has one of the best views Ive ever seen from a hotel room. The staff are absolutely amazing, they are waiting for anything you need and are more than happy to help you at any opportunity. We would definitely recommend The Lighthouse to anyone looking to stay in Sri Lanka. Beautiful. Thank you so much again for our lovely stay

Good Hotel, Excellent Staff, Great view, Pool and NICE FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS

Breakfast Options for Vegetarians Limited. Mainly Sri Lankan Cuisine. But Staff helpful and will cook up something. Bang on the Beach but water is rough and beach not ideal for swimming. Get a room overlooking the Sea and Pool. Decent sized Pool and well amintained

Choice of Breakfast and Food Menu was not great. It is not like an International Hotel. Caters to local tastes. Which is OK but could be better in variety

Very good

Lighthouse negombo is great

Great location. It's a villa with a huge lawn and pool. It's right in the beach. Mostly used for full property bookings by locals for parties or events. Splendid venue. Very well made. Jacuzzis in each bathroom Wow. Great staff. Nice clean setup. And the view is incredible. Had some in room dining food also. Very good food.

Fantastic

Room was stunning with fabulous view on the ocean and incredible terrace. Very large swimming pool. Very kind and friendly staff, you can tell there is a very good relationship in between them maling the atmosphere very relaxed and pleasant. Excellent food.
