    Easy if coming from train station. Rooms nicely decorated.
    Room nicely decorated. Refreshments inc bottled water and biscuits were a bonus.
    It seemed quite expensive. Shouldn't be over 100. I would have thought for this cost, breakfast should be included.

    The pub under the hotel is one of the most beautiful things in Southend. The structure seemed clean and recently renewed.
    The walls of the rooms are a bit thin, so you can hear what people are doing in their rooms (sometimes even too much). Also, we had to turn off the air conditioning because it was hot even if we had it at 17 C.

    Great value for, great service!
    Clean, comfortable room. High ceilings and large windows made it airy and bright. Friendly welcoming and helpful staff made our short stay a pleasure. Will visit again, very good value.
    For my husband who uses a walking stick, the stairs were a bit of a challenge (especially after a few drinks at the bar!) The wet room style rainfall shower could do with a water pressure boost, hard to rinse away hair products which made the floor very slippery (glad I used the rubber mat!)
