The location is amazing. The beach is beautiful.

The hotel feels like a sad place. And you cannot swim in this part of the ocean.

The location is right on the beach, and the area around the beach is really quiet which can be very relaxing.

The cabana really needs a fresh up. We had no functioning light in our bathroom until we let management know and our ceiling fan was very loud. The breakfast was OK but no water was included which feels kind of stingy. For the price we paid compared to other hotels we've stayed at in Sri Lanka, this really should either be much cheaper or undergo some serious renovation.

Great location, friendly staff, this is the perfect beach get away location.

The location is exceptional because when you are waiting for your food you can have a wander on the beach. You can use the pool that is owned by their sister company and it is a nice walk down the beach. The pool is located next to the beach and is probably one of the best pools we have visited - it is a good size, beach location and very relaxing.

There is nothing we did not like.

High prices of meals served in the restaurant in relation to the quality.

Stay at the beach

First row at the beach location (turtle beach), with extremely friendly staff! They did the outmost to make the stay comfortable! Good value for money! Cozy veranda with lie down area.

Not a big thing, but the Cabanas are a little dark inside, nevertheless there is enough artificial light to switch on

Relaxing, peaceful stay - highly recommend

This is my second time visiting Shivas and therefore would highly recommend it to everyone. The location is very peaceful and the staff are great. We had one of the beachfront villas and spent the afternoon lying in our hammock relaxing which is exactly what we were looking for at this part of our trip. After dinner one night we took a walk along the beach and found the conservation project were out looking for turtles, we managed to see a turtle heading back to the sea after laying her eggs which was very special.

The best accommodation in Sri Lanka

A superb accommodation with a wonderful staff. I came to this accommodation for 8 nights and stayed for 2 weeks. Everything is gorgeous. The staff will help you with any need. The food is delicious and the beach is one of the most beautiful in Sri Lanka.
