Clean room with a great view

The location of the guest house is lovely. Bang on the Mansarovar Ghat with a view of the Ganga. There is a balcony facing the river front with a net to keep away monkeys. It's very safe. I travelled alone and it was fine. There are 2-3 rooms on every floor with a dining table outside.

In between meals, the table was not cleared. Room linen and room cleaning were not done for 2 days and neither did they bother to check. I felt like the cook could have been more co-operative. He was very rigid on timelines even when he knew I had an early start to the day. Also, when I was flying out, I requested that instead of breakfast give me a simple lunch but he didn't bother to consider my request. He instead gave me sandwiches. The manager there Mr Shyam is very helpful and affable.

Amazing location and rooms with Ganga view.

View from the room exceeded my expectation. Very clean and friendly staff.

Inclusive breakfast needed much to be desired. Also one inhouse guide sent us to purchase saree at some interior shops by telling us that she is sending us to factory of sarees was very undesirable and waste of time. (Probably she was expecting commission from the sellers).

Ok, but overpriced.

The location and building are awesome. Breakfast is also great. Comfy bed and good shower. The staff were fantastic, besides the owner.

The room we booked was on the ground floor, so there was no real view. If you stand at the window and look in the right spot you can see a wee bit of the river. The upper floors all have great views. The bathrooms are below the standard expected by the higher price point of the hotel (basic wet room). Unfortunately, we found the owner very pushy about food and tours and a little rude. He was also relentless about us posting a review, which was awkward. At the end of our stay, they booked us a taxi. Unfortunately, the driver was TERRIBLE. We felt unbelievably unsafe with his driving, and there were no seat belts. More care should be taken in the choosing of taxi drivers for guest safety.

1. Toilet room is not comfortable. The shower is in the middle of the toilet room and is different from the booking pictures 2. The dogs were barking at night and we couldn't sleep well 3. The breakfast is really poor. The food there has no meat and is not enough for European people. They could offer more.

Exceptional

3 night stay at this lovely guest house. Staff couldn't do enough to help us. They arranged transport to and from the airport, did laundry for us and the chef made us 2 lovely evening meals which we ate overlooking the ganges and also wonderful breakfasts, make sure you have the potato parathas and puri they are amazing. The owner was a lovely man who wanted to make sure we were always happy. It's a great central location easy and safe to explore everywhere on foot no need for tuk tuk's etc. The roof terrace is an added bonus to watch the world go by. Rooms spacious clean and comfortable and have everything you need.
