AMAZING PLACE, GREAT NATURE

In the heart of Serengeti, with animals walking around in the night, this place is extremely beautiful and plenty of the most beautiful african "atmosphere". The room/bungalow was so romantic and had an amazing view on the Serengeti valley. Hundreds of beautiful birds surrounded us.

Probably the prices are a little too high, but it is a common habit in all Serengeti area to squeeze the tourists. This happens everywhere in the national parks, and I think it can't be changed. This Lodge pretend to be a luxury resort (and form some points of viewi it is) and you pay the room all inclusive like a 5 star hotel in Europe, but then at lunch and dinner they ask you to pay 2 dollars the WATER! This is funny and stupid.

Excellent lodges in the heart of Serengeti, would highly recommend.

The lodge style blends in perfectly with its African heritage and the surrounding scenery. The lodges are immersed in nature so you have animals occasionally roaming on the property, especially at night: we saw rabbits, dik-diks, two buffalos drinking water from the pool, and some zebras. The full board was a great choice as we were all day on the game drive and Serena provided us with packed meals. Also, they made sure to cater for one manner of our group who is allergic to fish and seafood. At night they also have some live African music, which is pleasant to listen to. The room was clean and comfortable, fitted with mosquito nets. The little balcony was the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset.

Amazing lodge with fabulous customer service - but not ideal for people with mobility issues

The lodge and views from the room were absolutely stunning. We really enjoyed seeing all the dik-diks roaming around the grounds. As two people in our party were senior citizens, check-in staff gave us a room that was as close to the main entrance as possible - which was much appreciated due to all the uphill pathways and stairs dotted around the grounds. All the staff were very friendly and service throughout the property was exceptional. We arrived rather late in the afternoon after a very long road journey but we were still provided with a freshly-cooked lunch which was delicious and much appreciated. The chef and a member of the dining room staff stayed back well after the usual lunch slot to attend to us and we would like to thank them both for doing this.

Due to the lodges being dotted around a sloping area and the stairs spread around the vast grounds, getting to and from the dining room was rather challenging for the two senior citizens in our group who both have mobility issues. The layout of the stunning grounds means that the property is not ideal for anyone with mobility issues as you can't really get around even with a wheelchair - hence the two senior citizens struggled to get to places themselves. This is the only downside of an otherwise stunning property.

The staff was very welcoming and made us feel at home. The views are amazing and I can't compare it to any place I have ever been. The food was great as well as the atmosphere.

I have no complaints about this resort.

An exotic lodge that more than met our expectations. Comfortable and clean and great views, particularly if you are staying in the upper lodge. friendly staff
