Comfortable & stylish stay in Hikkaduwa

Super nice staff, modern rooms and hotel design, very clean rooms, great breakfast - prepared with a lot of care & with local flavour. Location is also good, few minutes walking from the beach and in a quiet little area surrounded by nature.

Wonderful original hotel

Located a very quiet environment, the hotel is wonderfully decorated in terms of design, the original lighting gives a subdued and nice atmosphere. The bedroom is perfectly organized, the bed is so comfortable and the bathroom is modern. I could not imagine a better breakfast in a hotel, chef is coming every morning and food is served in good quantity and the quality is very good. The manager Theekshana is a very kind person always ready to help and highly reactive if you have any request. Thank you for this experience!

Fabulous experience from start to finish

From the moment we booked the hotel staff looked after us right up until the point that we ended our trip. They took excellent care of us. Nothing was too much trouble including getting plasters and making a diabetic breakfast for me. Rooms were stunning and we even visited the Art shop and purchased some beautiful items. A lovely touch was checking we arrived home safe after leaving Sri Lanka!

Coconut drink welcome, modern and styled instalations. Toileties and minibar really appreciated. Good and generous local breakfast at the artistic dinning room. We really recommend Saffron Hotel, good value for money.

amazing stay, would definitely recommend

it was a lovely design and felt like a real slice of luxury for a really good price. facilities were great, tea and coffee and a mini bar in the room, toiletries in the bathroom and breakfast was delicious!!! definitely the best weve had in sri lanka. the hosts were lovely and really went the extra mile, like even putting the rain covers on our tuktuk for us every time we left it open and it rained! thank you!

Our vacation in Sri Lanka was unforgettable, and this is largely thanks to the Saffron Robes Living. We are ready to sing praises of the service, beauty, and tranquility that we found here. We would like to especially thank the hotel manager Theekshana, who did everything to make our vacation fantastic. He sincerely cares about how the vacation is going and is always ready to help with any problem. The hotel's interior is conducive to solitude with oneself and nature. Paintings created by Dileepa are perfectly selected for each interior - whether it's the hotel foyer, the area near the pond with Japanese carp, or the walls of the room. Special attention should be paid to Poorna, an indispensable member of the hotel staff. He carefully surrounds guests with care and maintains the cleanliness of the hotel. Every morning he greets you with a smile and offers a glorious breakfast consisting of local cuisine. The tables are always perfectly set and adorned with fresh flowers. Thanks to Theekshana, we were able to meet Sange, who accompanied us on several trips and served as our guide to the sights. Next to the hotel is the Saffron Robes Gallery, where you can buy paintings, interior decorations, and souvenirs of any taste. Thank you for an incredible vacation, and we dream of returning soon! Most beautiful (design) hotel we've visited in Sri Lanka

We really recommend to hotel when visiting Hikkaduwa. Located only a few minutes from the beach and main road. One of a kind in Sri Lanka in terms of styling. It is clear that the hotel is owned by a artist family as there are beautiful paintings everywhere. The owner is almost friendly and willing to help you with everything. He arranged a taxi to the airport, laundry and print service very well. Don't forget to visit their art gallery as well for some souvenir and art shopping. Room was very nice and had all necessities (nice beds, safe, mini bar, great shower).

Maybe a small swimming pool would be nice, but did not really mis this. Perhaps the breakfast can be improved a bit. Now it's really traditional Sri Lankan breakfast but it would be nice to add some toast or sweets. Would also be nice to have some better coffee, think that would be in line with the beautiful surrounding. And a little menu with some snacks and drinks during the day might add some value.

What a real find - beautiful post modern contemporary villa recently constructed. Owned by the local art gallery owner who is meticulous about detail. The room, location, price, hospitality make it one of the winners of my trip.
