Very pleasant and comfortable stay.

Breakfast was very good - both in terms of the spread as well as freshness. The hot counter offered custom-made eggs and other freshly made items along with a wide selection of cold cuts and bakery products. A pot of good coffee along with the spread made the breakfast excellent. The staff at the breakfast area was consistently wonderful. So was staff across the hotel. The decor and ambiance of the hotel were consistent with it's high rating and with the description on the website. Look forward to visiting again.

Incredible.

Proximity to train was why I selected it, but the proximity to the heart of Zermatt, the playground were unexpected necessities. Wonderful location and facilities. Great breakfast. And a wonderful balcony.

An over-priced, shabby pit-stop.

Close to the train station and shopping area. The room had a tea/coffee making facility, and sockets (but no USB) for adapter/charger/travel immersion heater. A decent view, from the balcony, if fine weather.

The wallpaper was pink-black, furniture dark and cheap - admittedly a matter of taste, but not to mine. Shower was over a bath, somewhat narrow. Fire exit on balcony appeared blocked. Breakfast was okay, but jam was thin. Staff performed their functions, but not really cheerily.

A great place to stay in Zermatt to enjoy both nature and comfort

Very cozy room and great bed. The SPA was the reason for our booking and we were not disappointed. They have a beautiful pool, with jaccuzzi, sauna... The short distance from the train station (1min litterally) is adding to the convenience of the place. The resturant is excellent, and the staff was very kind.

Nice hotel close to the station

My room was a super cute small double room. The bathroom was nice (not super clean) with a Jacuzzi bathtub but I haven't used it. The room was very quiet with Mountain View, just to the wrong side ;-). Realised in the morning that you can see the Matterhorn from the terrace - other side from my room view. Breakfast was very nice - everyone can find something. Location is nearby the station.

I found some hairs in the bathroom but I haven't mentioned it at the reception. And for me the bed was too soft.

Excellent staff and amentities

The staff were amazing. They welcomed me and my dog without a problem, he even had a special bed prepared in the room. They were also very flexible on checkout. The rooms were perfectly clean, the bed and pillows comfortable, there was everything you could possibly need in terms of bathroom essentials, and we had plenty of choices for breakfast. The location is also right next to the train station which is very convenient.

Best hotel in Zermatt, lovely place with a Soul

It was a wonderful time at Hotel Alex Zermatt. we had the pleasure to spend a weekend for our couple birthday. Not only hotel was incredible with a real soul, special places to welcome you and many activities (huge swimming pool, sauna, hammam, tennis, squash, cigar lounge), great cocktails, the luxurious suite is beautiful and with a view on the Matterhorn but the staff and the owner are lovely and dedicated to make you enjoy your stay! Fully recommend it and well definitely come back to this place!
