The Porto Pal�cio Hotel received mixed reviews. The staff received praise for their friendliness and helpfulness, particularly Carlos and Ivan. The rooftop bar had great views but was not always open, and some guests found the decor and lighting to be dated. One guest highly praised Paulo, the masseuse at the spa.

Great staff limited by an outdated hotel

The staff was great.

The hotel shows its age, especially in the rooms. outdated style and facilities. Lack of power outlets. Horrible parking garage.

Do not recommend, far from a 5-star experience

This is absolutely not a 5-star hotel. The room is old, stains on the carpet, damaged wallpaper, leaking bathtub, old tv, low quality toiletries. The pool and spa area are really old and so basic. This can be a 3-star hotel or with some luck a low quality 4-star but absolutely not a 5-star. I do not recommend at all given the price.

Overall it was a wonderful stay and a great way to celebrate an anniversary

We made use of the spa facilities they were great, breakfast was continental and all the food was fresh and warm. The room was incredibly quiet and very spacious. We had dinner in the roof top restaurant and that was a wonderful experience. All staff onsite were friendly and helpful

If I have to find something to complain about it would be that we were only given 2 sachets of coffee (of which one was decaf) for a room with 2 occupants. There is only a kettle in the room not a coffee machine, sharing in case anyone else misunderstands the room description as well. (Which says coffee/tea maker and separately lists kettle as well)

Once you are booked everything is ok, but for me was not a pleasant experience as I get scammed directly on booking

Prior to my arrival, I got a message directly on the booking from the property to check my card, the message looked legit as came directly from the property under the booking.com messages. After a few days, I found it was scammed and either booking.com or the hotel account of the hotel was hacked. I paid again at the hotel with the hope that I could sort out with booking. In the last few 2 months, I called booking all the time and all they tell me is that they still investigating without returning my money or at least letting me know what is happening. Never book the hotel through booking and never accept any check on your cards.
