Value for money in a great location with responsive staff

Staff across all areas were the best - we interacted with those manning the reception, security, luggage transfer, housekeeping, rooftop swimming pool and dining area who were all responsive, friendly and actively attended to our needs. Special appreciation goes to Samreen at the reception who changed our room from a windowless small one on 1st floor (felt claustrophobic) to a slightly bigger one on the 6th floor with a superb view - which made ALL the difference to our stay! The Shawarma meal on special offer is generous in portion and YUUUUM! :) Location is great too! In cooler weather, a few major sites of interest are within walking distance such as the National Museum of Qatar, the bay area, etc.

No floor towels provided in bathrooms and be forewarned that parking area is tight so pick-up/drop-off need to be quick. Traffic isn't too much around the area though so it's manageable without too much stress.

I got a free upgrade. The room was spacious and clean. Internet was working.

There was no remote for the AC. The AC couldn't be switched off. It was hot and cold but this is not what is making me to leave a negative comment. As a frequent person on booking.com, i have never experienced rudeness from a hotel staff until this day, 1st/01/24. I booked a room in this hotel to stay with my best friend for new year. She travelled from France to Doha for the first time. We went out for NYE and on the 1st of January around 2 am, i ordered a sandwich online. I then went to the reception to ask the receptionist YUDI if i could eat my sandwich in the restaurant downstairs next to the lobby ( as there were some tables and chairs and a seating area. And the place was empty). There was an asian woman (pavindra or p....something), the rudest personel i have ever met. The receptionist looked at the lady, she shook her head to say no (like no i cannot eat here) and they both ignored me. I then repeated myself, i can or i cannot eat here? she then started yelling that No IT IS COMMON SENSE THAT YOU CANNOT EAT HERE IN THE LOOBY. She was so rude to me. I told here that she cannot treat her customers like that and she just ignored. She does not belong to the service industry for sure. She is not kind not patient not nice and rude. Before me, a russian guest was complaing at the reception that the AC in his room was not working and that so mant things were not working in the room. Not even a single Apologize he got. The receptionist just told him that they will get someone to fix it. The only good staff i met that night was an Algerien gentleman, Deha i think. Keep the good job up :)
