Very good

Pleasant family run hotel on beachside in quiet neighbourhood

Hotel was in a quiet location away from the mass market hotels. Swimming pool was good size and usually not busy (a plus if you like to swim lengths). Free parking was onsite. Free tea or coffee all day. Bar and restaurant was available. Beach was across the road (though it was sandy it was not the best in town). Safe environment.

A rental car was more or less essential unless you wanted to pay for a taxi to see anywhere else on the island (at significant cost). There are very few sidewalks, so walking is somewhat hazardous. Restaurants are mostly a few miles away (although the hotel offered a good selection of food). Breakfast was not included in the price, which was pretty high.

Clean, comfortable, close to beach

The staff was friendly and the place was clean. We had a nice, partial view of the ocean, as advertised. The beach was a short walk across the street. The bus to downtown was $2 per person.

The room looked old, and it could've used a fresh coat of paint. Bus ride to downtown was long; lots of stops along the way. Taxis were expensive; they charged extra for luggage.

Laid back vibe with super friendly staff in a lush tropical setting.

Staff were extremely friendly. I got an upgrade to a cottage that was available, I didn't ask for it so that was a very nice surprise. The grounds and property are really quite beautiful with lush tropical landscaping and of course the ocean right in front. It's really more of a 'family island' vibe, much more laid back than the other 'cookie cutter' places you could stay at.

I wasn't able to stay a little longer! ... that was on me though :)

Great hotel, by the sea with warm friendly staff. Would highly recommend for anyone.

The staff and owners are lovely people and make your stay a great experience. The location is amazing being right near the beach and the addition of a swimming pool is fantastic. The food offered was always fresh and tasty as were the beers and cocktails. Everything is very clean and beautifully kept. We had potential problems with our flight when we were leaving and the owners were extremely helpful if we had required an additional nights stay.

Superb

The service was nice and relaxed in a good way. It's a place for holidays and not business. You only need to move a few steps downhill, cross a street, and be on the public (but not overcrowded) beach (a mixture of rocks and sand). The view from the balcony was quite nice - on palm trees and towards the sea. They also have a common room for small social gatherings; I even noticed a few board games.

The rooms and venue are simple, with slightly chipping paint. Sufficient but not impressive.
