Nice enough small hotel in the middle of nowhere

It's a nice small complex located in the orange grow. The personel is very nice, although it is sometimes difficult to communicate in English. The room was rather small but comfy, very clean and with a nice view on the pool. Pool area is also nice with sun beds and a shower. We had great weather and it was lovely to sip coffee under the tree in the courtyard with the view on Etna.

It's a nice enough place, if you are into secluded small hotels, but the pictures and description promise a bit of luxury, which is simply lacking. The hotel is located in a working orange farm in the middle of nowehere - it's not like you can have a nice walk or a run there, because all farms are fenced and there is no sidewalk on a road (which also serves as a dumping groud for locals apparently). The way the place is presented on booking suggests it's a spa where you can have a massage etc. Unfortunately, there are no other facilities than a pool (very cold in the end of October), and if you want e.g. a massage you need to ask them to organize it bringing a person from outside. The same with bikes - there are no bikes to hire on site, just a bike hire place 30 minutes drive from there. The food in the restaurant is rather average, and the breakfasts include limited options, with no variety during the 5 days we spent there (and very little greens which is odd, given that they have salad and other vegetables growing on the farm). I also don't understand why they offer only 1 brand of house wine at the restaurant if you want just a glass - unfortunately their house red wine is really bad. The list of small things goes on - given the price, I was expecting something much more refined.

A perfect choice for unwinding after a month of traveling in Italy and Sicily and staying in Airbnbs.

The setting of Nroli Bio Relais is lovely, peaceful and much appreciated after a day of sightseeing in and around the entire southeast side of Sicily. It is an easy drive to Catania airport even for our early am departure back to the US. The staff and the chef go out of their way to make you comfortable and meet any needs you may have. The chef stayed late and on his supposed day off to prepare soup for four weary travelers that needed a little TLC (we were fortunate to be invited by another couple).

Disappointing

The guesthouse was looking nice, the area around the hotel was beautiful. The room was nice too, you could see the wine yards from the window. Everything was beautiful at first sight.

Breakfast was very very poor. We were really disappointed since from an agrotourism standpoint you would expect smth more special. They didn't even have scrambled eggs. On top of that, they didn't server breakfast nor dinner in the area outside even though the weather was quite nice.

Charming and helpful staff who went out of their way to look after us as late arrivals.

Pillows somewhat uncomfortable for our necks! Difficult to find at night as right out in glorious countryside.

Lovely hospitality

We just came back from our stay at Nroli Bio Relais and can only highly recommend it. The location and the rooms are beautifully renovated and we felt really welcome. Our dinner at the restaurant was excellent. Unfortunately we had no time to test the swimming pool. As we had to leave early this morning to catch our flight, before breakfast was served, we were provided with a coffee machine and a breakfast box with sweet and salty food. Lovely hospitality!
