Magical place

This place has something very special. It's beautiful, has a lot of charm, comfortable and is so relaxing even though it is so close to the city center. The host was adorable and took a lot of time to give advice and make sure my stay would be the best. The breakfast was the best I had in Thailand, personalized to your taste and I got other little attentions that were so sweet.

Nice stay!

room and bathroom were nice and felt very new. Very quiet neighborhood with nice canal access! Vina was great with offering directions and ideas of things to do during the day. She even set up a boat trip for us and walked us to the pier!

Only thing is we had asked about laundry, vina said no problem and took out laundry. We were given the laundry back with blue stains throughout our clothes and unfortunately a few items were ruined. Only at checkout did vina tell us that she charged for laundry and tried charging $800 bhat which is around $22 US dollars.. for 2 loads. We informed her of the stains and she brought her price down to $300 bhat. Which is still too much if you ask me. just be mindful and make sure to ask if anything services are extra charge.

Sophisticate Bangkok-travelers, probably would enjoy the elegant setting by the Klong Bangkok Yai.

See Veena, a Bangkok-er with a french-architecture master degree, turns her knowledge and fantasy into a reality. Impeccable taste from architect, interior, gardening to breakfast arrangement. Great privacy, intimate touch and the right amount of service. What I love most is the big lychee tree right in the center of the garden, greeting the sunrise. Just sitting in the yard is worthwhile.

Wonderful stay

Beautifully renovated house with great story behind. The host is really lovely and can give you great less touristy recommendations.

Location is on Thonburi side, so most attractions are on the other side of the river, but the MRT is really efficient in BKK, so not a big issue. And Thonburi itself is really worth exploring

The hidden gem in Thonburi area, Bangkok. Its such a small gorgeous and charming hotel. Neil Niwas owner, Khun Veena, is friendly and makes us feel like we are staying at home. She told us the history of Neil Niwas. She has renovated this house elaborately for many years and all furniture & decorative items are picked with her love and passion. A small courtyard is a nice outdoor area to chill out and drink beer in evening. The room we stay in is a very spacious and well-decorated room. A big comfy mattress and duvet, king size. The breakfast are delicious both Thai and Western style. There are plenty to choose from the list. Its in a perfect area if you like to experience the culture and explore more local bangkok. There are many historical temples nearby where you can visit on foot. Isaraphap MRT station is near and convenient. The hotel is right next to Bangkok Yai Canel. The owner arranged us for the 2 hrs private canal trip (with extra costs) which was a very impressive experience. We hop on hop off a few temples and the artists house.
