Very good

Hotel was very comfortable. Meals were good and timing flexible.

Game drives were popular for the average tourist but could have been more instructive.

I am a stargazer and it was the best sighting I have ever seen. The set up is incredible and the privacy is perfect.

What an incredible location - we stayed in the Eco Pods and it was just phenomenal.

A hidden gem just outside Graaf Reinet

Staff were super friendly and helpful! Rudolph our game ranger was very knowledgeable in terms of the wildlife and nature in the area. He made us feel welcome and sad to leave the place

The road to get there is almost 30km of gravel

Superb. I will be back with family to explore more

Historic farmhouse stay in a beautiful location. Place is immaculate and food and service exemplary. Really lovely to stay somewhere different and obviously treasured.

Only downside is the 27m dirt road to get there, but thats the price you pay for getting "off the beaten track" and exclusivity

Staying in the pod was a nice experience but it is very overpriced for what you actually get.

Being in the 'wilderness'.

The food was very disappointing. Our first night we had portions that a mouse wouldn't be satisfied with. Better the second night as we asked for a bit more but still only just sufficient (and we are not big eaters). There was no external lighting and we were supposed to be able to walk some distance to to a firepit and hot tub down narow paths with rocks each side and from a high deck. We had several falls. The only external lighting was by paraffin lamps which are a joke in a place that by its location will always have very high winds so they were 100% ineffective. There was not even a torch in the pod so we felt that no consideration had been taken for guests safety. The place didn't feel prepared for our stay ie. drinks in the fridge were warm and it took 5 hours for the hot tub to be warm enough to use. It would have been helpful if the fire for heating it had been lit before our arrival. Game viewing also very disappointing.

Magnificent stay in the Karoo

We loved everything about our 3 night stay. The food was delicious, accommodation so beautiful and comfortable, we thoroughly enjoyed each and every game drive, with great sightings of lion, elephants, giraffe, rhino, zebra, gemsbok and so much more. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. What an absolute treat to stay at Mount Camdeboo.

A few days in paradise. We will definitely be back

Spectacular scenery. Great service. Rudolf the game ranger was exceptional, knowledgeable and courteous. Food was good, including a birthday cake Bedroom spacious and comfortable, bathroom as well. Lovely gardens, well placed garden furniture. Perfect to just rest and relax, but.there was so much to see

The settees on the terrace and the dining chairs need some attention, theyre showing too much wear and tear
