Cheap and cheerful but wouldn't return as not our usual kind of place

Clean and tidy Modern Good communication from owner

No lock on bedroom door, yes there's a lock on the wardrobe door but still didn't feel right leaving your room door unlocked when leaving the property Bit far from town, can get the bus or a taxi or a 30 min walk but would usually stay somewhere nearer the town centre No iron or ironing board, I feel if it should have this available in the kitchen area Bit noisy due to it being on a main road

Good

Great clean place, nice bedroom and ensuite. Overall for the price a great stay. Good location.

The blinds had gaps in them and couldn't close so that they'd be fully shut. So at night time with the light on this wasn't great for privacy. Also the room isn't very sound proof, so when the other guests came in late at night it was very audible.

Booked this house to attend a concert in Manchester Academy (bus 197 great link to both places) Pretty clear instruccions on how to self check-in Excelent Living room, bed and spacious shower. Excelent Wifi

May need some way to identify they cabinets without opening every single one of them cuz they all look the same

I wont be staying there again.

landlord answered the phone

I arrived at the property to find a key safe but I didnt have the combination. It turned out that the landlord had sent a short video via whatsapp but I couldnt access it. It was raining and close to freezing but the landlord took 3 mins to give me the combination, preferring to grumble at me first. When I got in, I couldnt figure out how to turn the heater in my room on. I phoned the landlord again with the same result, more than 2 minutes of grumbling before giving me the information. 0 marks for customer service!! The 2 heaters in the kitchen and the one in my bathroom werent working. l phoned the landlord who said hed send someone round. I noticed later that they werent working because the fuses had been removed. I let the landlord know that I knew. They were still not working when I left 2 days later and I guess still arent. Ridiculously and annoyingly, there was only 1 key to the property so I had to put it back in the key safe rather than keep it with me. There was no security light, or it wasnt working (though there was some street-lighting) so I had to use the torch on my phone to get in at night. The freezing temperature made things worse. There was no lock on my bedroom door, just a bolt on the inside. Only 2 coat hangers

A nice place that with better communication and window insulation would be excellent.

I was very appreciative that I was able to check-in before 3pm; I had flown to Manchester in the early morning so appreciated being able to have a bit of kip before a concert in the Academy. The bed was comfortable, things were clean and it was cool to have a bath, once I improvised the bath plug. The facilities in the kitchen were good enough. I appreciated the decor. The location of the place for the concert was really good, and the local area was cool as it isn't gentrified and there are loads of opportunities for excellent food. The city centre was a nice 40 minute walk away; the walk via Oxford Road was cool.

Communication with the manager beforehand wasn't the best. I had asked to receive the check-in details the day before I arrived, as I wasn't going to be be particularly online on the day of my arrival. This query wasn't answered, and a subsequent query about the time of getting the check-in details wasn't answered. One message that I received was not clear in its language. Certainly, the check-in details when I received them were clear and helpful though. The bath lacked a plug (I found a solution). The blinds didn't close properly; at once stage I thought that people were looking in at me on the bed from the street. The window insulation wasn't good; any noise from outside was pretty loud.

It was great until I was falsely accused of stealing

Very clean, great facilities, bus stop right outside, great value for money

You cannot lock the bedroom door if you go out, Wi-Fi didnt work for me, I was accused of stealing a pair of primark flip flops! No apology was given for this either. Wouldve rated higher if it wasnt for that.
