Disappointing

I really cant think of much that I liked

The room I was placed was probably the worst they had in the premises. Not worth the amount I paid for it. It was too small. Could barely open the drawer thats next to the bed. The shower door came off the hinge while opening it. One of the towels was dirty. Struggled to get an iron which almost made me late to my appointment. There was a lot that wasnt right about my room. Wouldnt book again.

Guesthouse extraordinaire

Arrived an hour early, and we were welcomed warmly. Studio was spotless and ready for our early arrival. Thank you.... everything was prefect. From the comfy bed to the hot water for shower or bath (instant).... The ladies we encountered where realy hospitable. Especially the one who does the ironing etc... Realy sweet.... Breakfast was hearty and on all fronts delicious... will return again if time/work permits.... Thank you to Koos the owner... He runs a perfect guesthouse... Be seeing us again soon

Comfortable rooms , but should have been better at this price point.

The location was near the parkview squash centre as well as the shops nearby, which was convenient. The rooms had a nice outdoor seating area. The heaters worked well and the room was comfortable. There was a desk and some seating options in the room.

The main lady in charge was not friendly, in fact she came off as slightly intimidating. The breakfast portion was good on the first day and then decreased every day after. The rooms could have been cleaner.

For those who seek adventurous nights

Quite nice common areas, with large outdoor sofas and stone chairs to sit on outside. Two block walk from 7th Street, the center of Melville nightlife. Safe and secure. Well-made breakfasts. Wifi still mostly functional during load-shedding.

The cat that lives on the premises is an absolute RASCAL, and can and will get into your room. Imagine fumbling around in the pitch-blackness during load-shedding when an Entity Unknown leaps at you from a tabletop--a regular concern at the Turret. Breakfast stated to be served 7:30-9:00 but is really 7:45-8:15. Checkout stated to be 10:00 but is really 9:00. Refrigerator and microwave in room were non-functional.
