Superb

Christmas weekend getaway was very nice

Location with restaurants and shopping & decorations are beautiful for all seasons but for Christmas its beautiful

They dont offer much for the rate of how much the stay is.

I felt that because I booked through a third party I did not get the treatment I deserved . I requested early check in and it was ignored . I know accommodating hours ahead might not be possible but I did think I might get an hour or so early . We needed some over the counter medication for indigestion . When I asked the concierge for recommendations of a place to get some . She was not helpful at all . She said there was a couple of places a mile or so away that I could walk to . When I started looking there was a pharmacy right across the street. I have stayed here before when I booked through the hotel and I was treated a lot nicer and with more respect . I will not stay here again .

Superb

Pretty place. High standing with some small attentions. Room is large and very clean. Very well placed.

Parking is complex there and the price announced is expensive. You can manage in the street if needed playing with the hours... Breakfast was not clear enough on Booking site.It is said including that is true as you are things available on each floor but too it means eating on your bedroom and don't think of a buffet or plate with salted things. Just to be clarified

Disappointing

No effort to accommodate or make customer feel welcome

Been staying there for 4 years. First contact with desk I knew something was different. Second and third was worse the whole vibe deteriorated . Had the mindset they were doing me a favor. Not helpful or courteous exception was Chloe and Danny at the front door Also the rooftop staff not very professional Had a Chivas Regal on the rocks, $21.00!!!! A bottle is $35.00 dont mind paying for quality but there was no quality from service to the plastic cages After over a decade it is very doubtful I will stay again or refer anyone else

Superb

Perfect stay in Charleston

This hotel has a really good location for exploring historic Charleston. There is great attention to detail, with very professional staff and the room was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. There is a rooftop bar and pool, with views across Charleston. There is however no lounge as the ground floor is taken up with the restaurant and bar. The barman was excellent.

We arrived early, and the only room available had a tiny window with frosted glass- which meant the room was very dark (the window looks onto a narrow alley at the back of the hotel). This was clearly communicated to us, and we were asked if it was acceptable, and we said it wouldn't be a problem as we were only there one night. However, I would imagine that all the rooms at the back probably have that same situation, so you probably want to be careful when booking.

Disappointing

Beautiful property in a great location but staff / service was very disappointing.

Beautiful property in an awesome location. Rooftop bar had great views.

We were kept waiting for an hour beyond check in time at 4pm before being able to check in to our room. Front desk was rude and dismissive the entire time, asked to speak with management as a $500 night hotel shouldn't operate like that and was totally blown off not once, but twice.
